The ice cream shop is adorable and plenty of homemade ice cream to choose from, they also have a great little spot outside with picnic tables and swings to enjoy your cool treat! My parents and I also loved that the outside eating area is Pet Friendly!!! we will definitely be back!!!”

“We were just driving through Tabor City, got a bug and needed food, located Coleman's Drive-In just off the beaten path.
I had the double bacon cheeseburger, it was big (2 hands required) with lettuce, mayo & ketchup. A bit messy cause it was more than a mouthful, tasted great!
My wife had the regular burger and it too was a good portion. Curly fries were cooked just the way I like them, crispy, not soggy.
All of the staff greeted all of those that entered with smiles & a casual atmosphere. Reminded me of an old time diner, lots of memories at my 71 years young.
Thank you Coleman's, we will be back sooner than later.”

“This is more than just a little coffee shop, although their drinks are amazing 💕. My son and I were in tonight for dinner. The staff at Mattie’s were extremely helpful and understanding to my dietary preferences. At first I was concerned with prices until we took our first bites. Fresh foods, full of flavors, and no greasy foods! It’s so nice to see a healthier option in Loris. We will definitely be back again!”

“Their food is outstanding. Best chicken salad I ever had and very fresh. No wimpy lettuce here. And all their soups are homemade. I especially enjoy the mushroom herb which has plenty of mushrooms. The owners and staff are super nice. My favorite place to eat when I’m in Loris.”

“Tried the hot bar today for first time. Fried chicken was delicious, so was Fried squash and macaroni and cheese. Wish I had gotten something other than creamed corn. Looked wonderful, but had a strange taste. Needs more corn flavor less of the cream mixture. Otherwise very tasty.”

“Poppie’s got it right in Loris with an ice cream shop! The ice cream is creamy and tastes incredible. They have a large assortment of flavors and shakes to choose from. My favorite would have to be their homemade in house selection. The prices are AFFORDABLE too!”

“Stopped in on Wednesday and tried them out. It was all so good. Went back today (Friday) and got more.. On Wednesday I had Fried Pork Chops with rice n gravy, collards, green beans w/ Potatoes and cornbread. Today I had the Stew Beef, mac n cheese, rice n gravy, collards and cornbread. I also tried the chitterlings and hog maws. It was all tasty so I went back and got a box of Ham hocks with rice n gravy to-go. Great restaurant with great service”
