“I really enjoy the folksy charm this restaurant had. It truly feels like you are walking into another place and time. Watching the mini elevator deliver food to the upstairs part of the restaurant was fascinating. The food smelled and tasted amazing. I don’t think I have ever had a sandwich taste so good! The wait staff are super friendly, but you might have to wait a little. Overall, this is must stop place if you are passing through Alexander county.“
“My wife and I stopped in here yesterday for an unplanned early lunch. We've been in here before a number of times and it was always good, but yesterday was fantastic. We both had the salt and pepper catfish and it was the best I've ever eaten anywhere. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great!“
“Great little place outside of town. Real family feel place. Huge selection of food from hotdogs and hamburgers to meatloaf and pork chops. All the country sides you can think of and a ton of deserts. The burgers were great and the banana pudding was too. Will definitely stop back by, when I’m in the area.“
“I was lucky to get a tee time on 04/13/2023 after a mess up at GolfNow and found a tee time at Player's Ridge. i really enjoyed the layout. the course is set up well and very enjoyable. Some of the greens did not fair to well after the winter. I hope they come back soon. I will be back to play it later this summer once the grass comes in. The staff was very pleasant and quite friendly. I wish I lived closer to play it more often. it has a potential for a great course if a little more money was invested in the course it would be outstanding.“

“Always the best food. Never had anything that wasn't good. The smoked chicken is my favorite entree and the sweet potato casserole is out of this world.Kid-friendliness: My daughter spilled her drink and the waitress cleaned it up without saying anything to make her feel bad about it. They are always very accommodating to families with children.“
