Everything was perfectly cooked. The staff were not particularly friendly and the place is not fancy at all. Rolls of paper towels placed on each table serve as napkins - my kind of place! The iced tea didn't have enough ice in it to properly cool the contents but the flavor was very good.“
“This was awesome place to go. It was my first time. We had a work event there. We were in a private room. The food and service were impeccable. I am a pescatarian, and had so many choices. Crab cakes, shrimp, gnocchi, salad. And those who ate the beef medallions said they were delicious. As was the alcohol beverages. I highlighted recommend. But you will have to climb many steps to the door and I don't know if there was another entrance. Plenty of parking when we went but you are sharing with golfers so I could see on a busier day it getting full fast.“

We tried a few things off the menu but what we did try was balanced well. Good depth of flavor in their meals, which is hard to find in breakfast food. “I am surprised by the negative reviews. We started coming to Waterside when the construction of our house nearby began in late 2022. We have eaten lunch, dinner and gotten take out on many occasions. Shrimp tacos, hotdogs, and wings are our favorites, but everything is good and the service has been great. Were retired and really enjoyed the bands a couple of Mondays ago. Nothing fancy, which is fine with us. I’m sure they make some mistakes like the rest of us, but we really love our local bar and grill!“

“I passed by hotshots on my way home from work and decided to stop in one day. It was absolutely delicious. We live in Woodleaf so a slight drive but I continuously drag my boyfriend to hot shots. The MAMA IS EITHER RACIST OR PREJUDICE. 2 different things google it. I don't know which.I've not really seen other people of color there to eat unless I bring them, so not quite sure. The thing is I USED TO TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THE PLACE. Bragged on it even before they got the new cook. BUT AFTER BAYBAY!! So good I was tipping Stephanie and the cook.I will admit when I go out to eat I'm VERY PARTICULAR about my food. At first, there was no consistency on the food quality. Having to send it back maybe 2 or 3 times. NEVER ASKED FOR FREE FOOD OR MY MONEY BACK. Then they got themselves a Black Lady (Sorry cant remember her name) short-order cook. MY LAWD Stephanie knows how I like my food and when I ordered JEEZZZZUUUUS. I went back like 3 days in a row. She was surprised I had been back so many times. I told her food was GREAT. The 3rd time quality sucked again. I asked why that's when she told me.After that, I started calling first to see if NEW cook was cooking before I went.The last time I went, I took my granddaughter. The new cook was cooking. We put half in to-go boxes and started on the other half. Stephanie asked us BOTH how the food was and we both said not good. We sent it back. The MAMA came back with attitude and said well y'all ate most of it, I'm not sure what you want.I looked at her (now this is the 3rd TIME SHE HAS BEEN RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO ME) one time I had been taking pictures of the spot to post on my Instagram to shout out the place. The MAMA started yelling at me I couldn't take pictures of the people(I KNOW). Once she informed me SHE WAS THE OWNER and it was her place and basically what she said went.Well, this time I was tired of her rudeness and I wanted to show my granddaughter that classy and my dollars make the difference between ignorant and rudeness. So I politely said excuse me. We didn't eat it all here's the other half of the food in the to-go boxes. She looked at us and the boxes and said oh. Took the to-go boxes to make completely new orders. I asked to make sure the cook had made my food and was remaking my food. She said yes. I didn't believe her. Because the young lady had NEVER MESSED UP AN ORDER OF MINE BEFORE.I told Stephanie what happened and I wouldn't be back.I miss that food, the other servers, and especially Stephanie, but I can't go back.So I really don't know how to answer the star questions. “Visited for the first time since the name change a while back. Entered at about 5pm on a Saturday to a neat full bar area with seating (more quiet dining room was empty). Had no clue what to get as the whole menu looked fabulous. I gave out waitress my choices I narrowed it down to and she suggested the Notorious P.I.G. burger. Wife got the Chicken Scratch. A short wait and our food was brought out to us and OMG the amount of food we got was unheard of in this day and age and the prices were great! Both sandwiches were cooked to perfection and probably the best I've had in a long time! How in the world someone came up with a burger that has beef patty, brisket, bacon, pimento cheese, onion rings on it I have no idea but it was absolutely fabulous! The chicken scratch had TWO chicken breasts on it! The sides were buffalo chips (worth it) and kettle chips all made in house I believe! Will will be back no doubt soon. I must hand it to our waitress also, I forget her name but she was fabulous and attentive!“

Delicious, but pricey. Mashed potatoes were instant. The chicken pot pie was good, the country style steak was so overcooked it exfoliated my throat ? I think I must have just gotten a really tough piece. Very flavorful though!I've had a few meals here and most have been good, but I don't think the pricing is terribly fair for such small portion sizes.Please don't let the honesty of this review put you off!
