“I got a large pizza with onion mushroom and bacon well.... that is what I asked for. I ate 2 pieces. On one piece, I ate 2 pieces on onion, 3 pieces of mushrooms, and no bacon. The other piece, I ate 2 pieces of mushroom and one tiny piece of bacon. My husband had 4 pieces of pizza and noticed he didn't have much toppings either. I will say the pizza was still good, but they lack in putting toppings on the pizza. Oh, and when my husband got the pizza home, they had the pizza cut, and each piece was separated from the others, so most of the cheese had run off the crust on between the pieces. I wish i would've taken a picture when my husband brought it home. I will try it one more time the next time I'm in town. If it's the same, I won't return. I always give a place a second chance.“

“We done out all the time since we’re in the industry. 95% of the time we are disappointed but the Famous Toastery did not disappoint. We tried a few things off the menu but what we did try was balanced well. Good depth of flavor in their meals, which is hard to find in breakfast food. The stuffed strawberry and blueberry French toast were both great. We’ll be back when we visit Charlotte again. Compliments to the management and owners. You’ve created a well oiled machine“
“Have had 2 experiences here. Service is friendly. Faster than steak and shake but slower than McDonald's. I've only had burgers here and they are good. They have a huge ice cream selection and a broader menu selection than most fast food places. Had monster burger.. cost $8. Inside atmosphere a cross between a sports bar and fast food. “We’ve been here a couple times and the food is always good. We’ve noticed that service has diminished since our first visit and I can’t really explain it. Last time we were there it really wasn’t very busy, but barely seen our server. Had to get other servers to help on a couple occasions. “Our cousins asked us to join them here to listen to live music on a Saturday night. I always like to research places that are new to me to check prices, seating, and menus. I could not find a website for this bar; however, they do have a Facebook page. Unfortunately, it doesn't really give useful information about the business. So we drove up to Mooresville not really knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised !! I was definitely impressed the bartenders/wait staff. Almost as soon as we got seated, someone came by to get our drink orders. Round one drinks were delivered to our table quickly. And the great service never stopped--even when the place got busy!! Someone was constantly coming by to clear the table and ask if we needed anything else. We didn't order food, but from what I could see they have a very limited food menu. Someone previously posted a review that said they are a cash only bar. That is definitely not true now-- they do take credit cards. This bar has plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. The restrooms were clean. The band was fun. The staff amazing! We would definitely go back!“
“I am surprised by the negative reviews. We started coming to Waterside when the construction of our house nearby began in late 2022. We have eaten lunch, dinner and gotten take out on many occasions. Shrimp tacos, hotdogs, and wings are our favorites, but everything is good and the service has been great. Were retired and really enjoyed the bands a couple of Mondays ago. Nothing fancy, which is fine with us. I’m sure they make some mistakes like the rest of us, but we really love our local bar and grill!“

We also were given good recommendations on selections to try and did in fact try two of them. The food is excellent and the server follow up was very good. Unfortunately, Google does not allow multiple reviews from a User so one has to update the initial review. Why this is is a bit of a mystery as one’s views can change over time.I’m happy to say that my opinions on Joey’s hasn’t really changed over time. They still serve the best Pizza in Denver, NC now that their main competitor, Pomodoros, closed. Pomodoros closed not because the food or service was lacking but simply because they could not staff their kitchen. What a terrible commentary on our time.So, where are we today? This update is simply to advise customers that if ordering takeout, no matter the time you specify for pickup or if just ordering ahead, arrive at least 10 minutes before the time you are told the food will be ready.Personally I try to get there a minimum of 15 minutes early and chill at the bar so I can get the food as it comes out of the kitchen. Trust me, if you arrive at the specified pickup time, your food has been cooling for 10 minutes, maybe more.I am not changing my rating but post this as an FYI for those who take heed of reviews.—/////——I’ve written about Joey’s before which would usually rate 4 stars from me. (Note, try to eat it fresh; it does not hold all that well overnight).But this review is not about the food tonight (skip down 3 paragraphs for why I am giving 5 stars this time) except to say we had the Amberjack special, a wrap, and the usual for my son, a chicken quesadilla.I don’t typically order fish when I go out and on the dinner menu at home, we were supposed to have salmon but Brian L talked me into trying the Amberjack. Go figure.Amberjack is a mild fish, often cut as a thick steak. Tonight’s serving was diced into large cubes with tri-color tortellini, spinach and a creamy garlic and Grand Marnier sauce. Very good so if you go sometime and see it as a dinner special, give it a try.But, I am burying the lead. Tonight’s 5-star rating goes to Brian. This guy is from Brooklyn, Italian, and maybe the best waiter in Denver.Why? He’s engaging, does a great job of explaining dishes, entertainingly served up by his Brooklyn accent, and most importantly, he dutifully clears away empty dishes and the usual litter of stuff from a meal (paper straw sleeves, etc.) WITHOUT being asked.This bears repeating and LISTEN UP every single other server in my little village of Denver, NC: Your normal duty as a server should always include taking away the empty plates and other detritus of a meal. Allowing all this stuff to just pile up and clutter the table during and after the meal is annoying to many and directly impacts my tip to you. Failing in this very traditional act of serving, you are failing as a good server.In my experience, there are a lot of just ok servers in Denver, poorly trained and lacking anything like a professional demeanor. Sure, we have many friendly servers, but very, very few really good ones. And what separates the professional from the friendly are really taking care of your customers which always includes clearing away the table. It is a very small but crucial step, ignored by too many unless asked.I start at 20% and either deduct or add to the tip depending on the overall experience. I am happy to report that Brian’s tip went north.Well done, Brian.“

They are slowly disappearing across the country, so every chance I get, I go out of my way to enjoy.The Lunch Box has been around for decades, shows its age, but I wouldn't change a thing. As to food, the menu has five weekly specials. Burgers are a big seller equal to any $15 burger but half the price. I shared the Wednesday. Special beef stew on rice, pinto beans, and cabbage with my partner as we are petite eaters... Mamma, take me home:) nothing fancy, just satisfying home cooked fare. If you get a chance, a must stop along the less traveled road.“

“I met co-workers for lunch, what a great place. The menu consists of sandwiches, soups and salads, perfect for a light lunch. The small market is nice too. I had the Bacon, butter lettuce, pimento cheese sandwich on cornbread,. Wow, what a mix of flavors. If you are a BLT fan, you have to try it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There may be a small line at peak lunch, but it.moves steadily. If you are visiting or live in Davidson, NC, I reccomend you give it a try!“

Just be warn that weekends can be crowded. This is a small place compared to other resturantes. Would advise reservations ahead of time during prime hours. Delicious, but pricey. Mashed potatoes were instant. The chicken pot pie was good, the country style steak was so overcooked it exfoliated my throat ? I think I must have just gotten a really tough piece. Very flavorful though!I've had a few meals here and most have been good, but I don't think the pricing is terribly fair for such small portion sizes.Please don't let the honesty of this review put you off! We're happy to support our local businesses, we just won't be able to make it a regular thing because we're not made of money! The fried chicken is worth coming back for again and again.“
