“Great place please to meet such nice people food look smell amazing and had two amazing omelettes missing mushrooms, but the owner offered to get our order fixed so we shall see tomorrow how delicious the omelette is with the mushrooms. Thank you so much for the great. The great. Service thank you Gus management and owner.“
“Finally went when there wasn't a line out the door. Friendly service but took awhile to get my food, due to how busy it wasGot the Stacey's omlette, hash brown and a biscuit. Omlette and biscuit were excellent. Hash brown was just OK.I'll be back.“
“I called several days before Easter to find out if they're having brunch on that Sunday and the woman that I spoke with was very cordial and explained everything That would be served and great detail when I went for brunch on Sunday the food was out of this world for a great price I recommend this place to everybody!“
“My family tried dinner here and we were not disappointed! We all love Greek food. I ordered the Gyro Platter it came with 2 sides and a nice warm soft pita. Lots of meat and tasty. My sides were Fried Okra and Homemade Onion Rings. My mom and sister had the Chicken Souvlaki on a Bed of moist rice and roll plus 2 sides. They tried fries and potatoe salad. Both of them really enjoyed it as well. Definitely will be back.“
“So good! Food was great, cappuccino was delicious, and everyone was very sweet to me and my best friend. It was small but they were accommodating for her 7 month old. Would definitely come here again! (Prices are also very good, but we ordered a lot of food!).“
“We loved this place! When I went in to ask if they had an outdoor area where we could sit with our dog, they happily opened up the covered patio just for us. The food and drinks were great and came quickly (I highly recommend the shrimp and grits!) and the service was friendly, efficient and impeccable. We’d love to return if we’re in the area again!“
“We had excellent service on Thursday 12/14. We had 7 people at the high top tables in the bar. The waitress was awesome and didn't miss a beat. The food was good for the price. We got the filet special. The music was extremely loud and we couldn't hear each other talk. It could have been taken down a notch or two and still be loud. But they dud seat us in the bar. I just felt bad for my dad who has hearing aids. I will be back and wished I could remember the waitresses name because I would love to request her again“
“The food at The Foundry is good but very pricy. One small cup of soup was $16.00. The beef grinder sandwich was blah and lacked flavor and condiments. The fish and chips was good but, again, pricy for the 2 small pieces of fish on the plate. There are other restaurants in this area that are just as good or better and much less expensive. We probably won't go back to The Foundry for lunch due to the cost but the service was very good and the atmosphere is very light and airy.“
“I ate here last weekend! I got 10 honey bbq wings and the California burger with crumbled bleu cheese instead of jack cheese and sweet potato fries. The entire meal was fantastic! Didn’t hurt my stomach later and was easily digestible and tasted fantastic! The atmosphere was awesome and so was the service! Will definitely recommend!Parking: Decent amount of parking! I was parked not far from the door and it was a Friday evening! Within walking distance to other bar and more parking.Kid-friendliness: There were lots of children in there but nothing too wild. Seemed to be a fit for every demographic of people. I saw all ages in there a“
“Update 02/12/24: (Takeout advice. See below). According to Google reviews, I posted the last update in 2022. Unfortunately, Google does not allow multiple reviews from a User so one has to update the initial review. Why this is is a bit of a mystery as one’s views can change over time.I’m happy to say that my opinions on Joey’s hasn’t really changed over time. They still serve the best Pizza in Denver, NC now that their main competitor, Pomodoros, closed. Pomodoros closed not because the food or service was lacking but simply because they could not staff their kitchen. What a terrible commentary on our time. So, where are we today? This update is simply to advise customers that if ordering takeout, no matter the time you specify for pickup or if just ordering ahead, arrive at least 10 minutes before the time you are told the food will be ready.Personally I try to get there a minimum of 15 minutes early and chill at the bar so I can get the food as it comes out of the kitchen. Trust me, if you arrive at the specified pickup time, your food has been cooling for 10 minutes, maybe more.I am not changing my rating but post this as an FYI for those who take heed of reviews.—/////——I’ve written about Joey’s before which would usually rate 4 stars from me. It is my family’s go-to place for pizza, specifically, Grandma’s pizza which is Detroit-style pizza, a rectangular, thick pizza with your choice of toppings, a goodly amount of cheese, and sauce. (Note, try to eat it fresh; it does not hold all that well overnight). But this review is not about the food tonight (skip down 3 paragraphs for why I am giving 5 stars this time) except to say we had the Amberjack special, a wrap, and the usual for my son, a chicken quesadilla.I don’t typically order fish when I go out and on the dinner menu at home, we were supposed to have salmon but Brian L talked me into trying the Amberjack. Go figure.Amberjack is a mild fish, often cut as a thick steak. Tonight’s serving was diced into large cubes with tri-color tortellini, spinach and a creamy garlic and Grand Marnier sauce. Very good so if you go sometime and see it as a dinner special, give it a try. But, I am burying the lead. Tonight’s 5-star rating goes to Brian. This guy is from Brooklyn, Italian, and maybe the best waiter in Denver. Why? He’s engaging, does a great job of explaining dishes, entertainingly served up by his Brooklyn accent, and most importantly, he dutifully clears away empty dishes and the usual litter of stuff from a meal (paper straw sleeves, etc.) WITHOUT being asked. This bears repeating and LISTEN UP every single other server in my little village of Denver, NC: Your normal duty as a server should always include taking away the empty plates and other detritus of a meal. Allowing all this stuff to just pile up and clutter the table during and after the meal is annoying to many and directly impacts my tip to you. Failing in this very traditional act of serving, you are failing as a good server. In my experience, there are a lot of just ok servers in Denver, poorly trained and lacking anything like a professional demeanor. Sure, we have many friendly servers, but very, very few really good ones. And what separates the professional from the friendly are really taking care of your customers which always includes clearing away the table. It is a very small but crucial step, ignored by too many unless asked.I start at 20% and either deduct or add to the tip depending on the overall experience. I am happy to report that Brian’s tip went north.Well done, Brian.“
“Small but nice bar with tasty food. The bar was a little busy so I didn't get noticed. Did have to wait a little on table despite reservations, but not a big issue. Just be warn that weekends can be crowded. This is a small place compared to other resturantes. Would advise reservations ahead of time during prime hours. Beer in cans was very cheap and portions of food was just right. Food is pub fair, with a mixture of higher entres. Would eat here again.“
“I really miss Showmars since we don't live in the area anymore. We stop by almost every time we are in the Charlotte metro area. The flounder is excellent and the pita burger is also a favorite. The Denver location has a friendly staff and a clean location.“
“I'm not sure how to rate the atmosphere. It's a nice, clean looking dining area so seems good for a restaurant. They say everybody is your server and they mean it. Very attentive and helpful staff. Just about everything in the breakfast menu is great. I think the sausage patties are the frozen variety and the grits a bit watery for my taste. Bacon is amazing. Would like to see fresh sausage. The lunches I've had were very good too. Sandwiches were enough for two meals. I recommend the club sandwich. It's a bit pricey. Worth it, but just saying“
“Great service, the server was amazing! The homemade chips were sooo good. Great kid’s menu choices. We also went on the day when you can get kid’s meals discounted when you order an entree. The wings tasted great as well. The serving size of everything from entrees to kid’s meals was perfect. We will definitely return.“
“We love Captain's Cap and the fact that the Salad Bar is now open is the icing on the cake! The staff is super friendly and always makes you feel like family. The food is amazing and always fresh. We highly recommend this restaurant.Parking: Private parking lot. Plenty of space.Kid-friendliness: Everyone is welcome.“
“This place is huge. Lots of TVs for watching sports. Large bar with pretty beer selection including big brands and some craft stuff. Ribs were good and very tender. A bit heavy on the sauce for us. Sundries Pasta was really good. All the food looked good. Lots of variety. Don't expect amazing, but nice family atmosphere with good food. Also, nice outdoor eating area when the weather is nice.Parking: Large parking lot but this place stays pretty busy so lot is often crowded. You might not park right by the door.“
“Our favorite place to go for breakfast! You cant say bagels in our house without the kids grabbing their shoes and saying lets go to Bagel Brothers. I lived up north for many years and honestly these bagels are the real thing! You can follow them on facebook to see the staff having fun and the weekly creamy cheese special flavor.Kid-friendliness: Fast paced high energy staff makes a place where our little ones can be themselves.“
