“Our waitress Rachel was so friendly and genuine in her conversation. We didn't feel like just another table to be served. There was a teen birthday party near us and the place was hopping on a beautiful day in the 70's so it was pretty loud. Padded buffers inside the booths would likely help with this. They were out of the first2 things we tried to order so that was disappointing. We were seated at 1:15 so you might want to get there earlier for access to full menu. It's good to know if you have someone with mobility challenges: there were 2 handicap spaces fairly close to the front but all others were abit away. There is no way to drop off an elderly person fairly close to the door. Options are either quite a few stairs OR a long ramp. If there are other options, I didn't see it. The food was fresh and delicious and the menu was creative and thoughtful as compared to other places in the area. We were celebrating a birthday and received a thoughtful card but no discount or free dessert as with other places. Brunch specials change each week and they all sounded good.“

“The bartenders, Victoria and Luis are THE BEST! They have a cult following of customers. The Manager, Eric and Assistant Manager Christopher, not only make sure their staff is taken care of, but also the customers. our family has been going to this location for about 16 years. there are many staff members who have worked their just as long. Highly recommend the Statesville location, not only have the staff become our friends, but also the fellow customers.“

“Incredible! So many gluten free options, marked clearly on the menu. And FANTASTIC gluten free key lime pie! The owner, Nelson, made sure we knew how much they cared about making an affordable and safe GF dining experience. Loved the ambience and the food; the burger was one of the best I've ever had and the gf bun was soooo fluffy! They give you a FREE cookie at the end and the gf cookie was actually soft and not crumbly. I cried a little I was so excited. I will be back!“

“I was on vacation with 3 other couples. we had a reservation on 8/22/25. Our server "Q" was great and did a wonderful job going over the specials and recommendations. The french onion soup was delicious. I am typically not a steak person, but decided to try the petite filet with garlic butter and the baked potato. It was phenomenal and I was very pleased with my choice. others got the ribs, lamb, lobster bisque, a plethora of sides, cheescake and lava cake....nothing was less than delicious. Bonus, I got engaged here as well“

“Really enjoyed going here for my birthday celebration. Staff was very nice. Waitress worked really hard considering it was a larger group. I had sushi. I sampled potsticker and chicken wrapped in lettuce. Very yummy. The decor is pleasant and relaxing for dinner.“

“This is the second year we hosted our neighborhood holiday party at Shoals Grill. They have updated the private party room which was a nice surprise. We had a group of 50 people and the service and food was great. Andrew, the event manager, and our bartender were very accommodating and responsive to our needs. We look forward to hosting our party again there in 2025.“

Gm Kellen and bar manager Sam were so down to earth and made the entire experience! however I then got the food, I got a burger, pretzel rods and even ordered a pizza to go. I think it’s the best burger hands down I’ve ever had, pizza was perfect size and full of flavor. Great atmosphere, and has turned my normal lunch spot on its head because they’ll see me here way more often!!“

Food was hot when we sat down. Salads were fresh. Salad dressings both seemed to be made in house... both very good! The bread they give you was warm and soft. Restaurant looked clean and service was excellent. Gentleman at the front made sure the order was correct before I walked out the door. Will definitely be back for both carry out and sit down.“

The meal was fantastic and the portions very generous. Genuine Italian, nothing commercial. Working with them to arrange the catering was a breeze. Can't say enough about this place. “Being from California, I have been searching the entire East Coast for a Mexican food restaurant that actually knows how to cook REAL Mexican food, it took me five years but I finally found La Familia here in Statesville and they DO NOT DISAPPOINT! Hands down, the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving from California (THE BEST BY FAR!) And to top it off, their prices are VERY reasonable! My son and I both got entire meals, drinks, and sides of rice and beans for $21!! They gained a new loyal customer today!! I’ll be back two or three times a week, really, it’s that good!!“
