“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. We live near Greensboro and drive 30 minutes to get to Monte De-Rey even though there is a Mexican restaurant less than 5 miles from our house.The food, atmosphere and prices are great. Our waiter tonight, Carlos Alexis, is one of the best waiters we have ever had. He made us feel like we were his only customer, he was funny and personable and gave great service. If you have not been to Monte De-Rey you need you need to check it out. You will not be disappointed.“

“I’ve rarely seen staff at a restaurant get along so well. I witness several interactions among the staff that gave the impression that this must be a great place to work. Matthew took his time with a new hire who was having trouble with the ordering system. The formal manager took her time to listen to an off the clock employee come in to talk about his schedule and responded with patience and understanding. The guys in the back were all having a lively discussion about random topics, all in good hearted fun. And the food was some of the best Taco Bell I’ve had! I left with a smile! Well done to all of you!“

“I asked for what everyone has been taking about, The Birria Taco's. This was my first experience and it's something I'll reorder. The portion is great, four tacos with a decent amount of juicy, tender and flavourful meat. My order was take out and everything was in the bag, no need of asking for extras, had my sauce, my spoon and extra napkins.

“Visiting from Texas, and this is THE best taqueria I've visited in NC or VA so far. Birria is some of the best I've ever had. Tacos were excellent, horchata is on point, portions are big. Good service, kind people, and everything tastes like I'm back home. Don't sleep on Los 2 Pollos!“

“Food truck with a covered, but not fancy outdoor eating area. Some folding tables and chairs in a gravel area. The burritos were very nice sized. We all left full! Prices were reasonable. And the service was great.We were just passing through and had found a food truck on Google that we were going to stop at, but accidentally ended up at this one. We don't regret it because it was so good.“

“We ordered the family pack of 10 tacos and the family 10 pack of birria tacos. Everything was perfectly packaged, seasoned with all the sauces and consume included. We are a family of 6, when we eat out, if we can feed everyone for under $100, I'm pleased. The total with tip was around $65. We loved the way it was packaged in biodegradable pizza boxes. I ordered an hour ahead because of the amount of food and it was ready OK time. I will definitely be back.“

“I have gotten breakfast from Bagner and Alexa’s several times and each time it is good! A few tips they cannot cook scrambled eggs, the pancake batter has an after taste I do not like. I request soft scrambled and they overcook them each time. The pancake batter please change it for something else. Overall the other breakfast items are good!
Sometimes there are homeless people standing around the alley way area and it can throw off the atmosphere but I will say they don’t bother you.“

“Me and my boyfriend went on 08/15/25. The food was a 10/10. The waitresses made sure you had a fresh batch of chips appetizers. I ordered the burrito deluxe with beef and it was so good. My boyfriend got the carne asada tacos and said it was so delicious. It didn't take long for them to bring our food out.“
