“Excellent service and super fast. Just passing thru and needed something low carb. Was worried because menu has lots of potatoes, bread and grits. But was able to order simple scrambled eggs and bacon. Food came out really fast. Bathrooms clean. They were cleaning the rest of the restaurant while we were there.“

“Big menu but went for the all you can eat buffet a little of everything th that way. Ate too much. Bbq pork 3 ways plus chopped pork. fried chicken had the lightest of batters yummy. Plus baked chicken in sauce chicken . Cream peas, Brunswick stew mashed potatoes & gravy rice pudding hush puppies couple of desserts and on and on......Parking: Huge parking lot and one on the side for trucks (semi's) and campers.“

“Great diner. Clean environment, friendly staff. Jessica was attentive without being obnoxious. Everyone greeted upon entering. "Home cooking" menu items from a bologna sandwich to hamburger steak and gravy and everything in between. Fried gizzard, livers, chicken. Sandwiches, salads. My guy ordered hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. Me, fried flounder sandwich, cheesy potatoes, onion rings. Homemade dressings, come on! Excellent ranch for dipping. Everything was excellent. My grandma would approve. Pineapple cake to finish. Large enough to share. Yum. Unsweetened iced tea is excellent. They leave a pitcher to refill your own. “A nice cozy restaurant with a date night atmosphere you would love. The food has always been great. A simple menu with plenty of choices. So you don't have to spend all night deciding, you can spend the time with the special someone you are with. By the way, don't skip the desserts, you will not regret it. They usually have different desserts each time we go. This last time we had the strawberry lasagna and chocolate lasagna. Delicious!“

“Be sure to make your reservation. Bought my mom here for her birthday. We had a reservation at 530 but got here about 510 because they start serving drinks at 5. They let us sit at our table and they let us go ahead and order. Let me tell you...food was amazing. A little expensive but well worth it. You get what you pay for. The restaurant is beautiful. Definitely get the pork belly for appetizer. Also, we were offered regular water or citrus water. The citrus water was good and refreshing. My mom really enjoyed her experience. Out waitress...and I'm sorry I forgot her name was awesome. Actually the entire team including the chef were amazing.“

Caught them just before closing Saturday (only place I got food from while in town actually) Hands down one of the best spots I’ve eaten at in NC. The fried green tomatoes (when in season) & the fried corn are my favorites. The wings are the best I’ve had in NC for sure, super crispy and perfectly sauced. Normally don’t eat cake but I got a huge piece on the house and it was absolutely delicious!! The owners are phenomenal!! So welcoming and down to earth. Highly recommend!! “I can't bring myself to give any hotel restaurant a 5-star rating, but this one is close. It's undoubtedly one of the best places in Roanoke Rapids. The salmon, the ribs (though fried instead of slow smoked), and all the sides were excellent. They don't have the service side down pat yet, but everyone was very pleasant. Won't hesitate to eat here again.“
