Osteria Cicchetti Reviews
Great service! Had a lovely night, best part was the delicious food! Chef’s kiss
This was our first time dining, but definitely will Not be our last. My daughter discovered this restaurant while out walking near our hotel. First, the decor and ambiance is beautiful. I especially loved the antique gas lamps and Old World Italian charm. Our waitress was very friendly and professional. The food was Phenomenal! The flavors and variety of dishes, a menu that has something for everyone to enjoy. (Which is a bonus for someone like me who is lactose intolerant. 😥)...read full review
Phenomenal! We decided to try this place because of Davieunderwater's video review. I started with the Chichetti Smash cocktail. They use a homemade lemoncello as the base and it was so delicious. Hubby had his favorite beer, tropical lightning. It was $9 instead of the usual $7 we find around town. I ordered the Al Pesto pasta. Osteria Cicchetti offers Mediterranean-style food, featuring well-cooked salmon and flavorful pasta al pesto. Customers enjoy pairing their meals with a Caesar or house salad, and many finish with the highly praised bread pudding topped with ice cream, often considered the best bread in Wilmington. The restaurant is known for its friendly, attentive, and well-dressed hosts and servers. It serves as a popular spot for large group celebrations, though close tables and noise can make quiet dinners challenging, especially for those who are deaf. Prices are moderate, and there may be extra charges for additions like sauce. The food is dependably excellent, with service frequently described as impeccable and staff providing good suggestions. While the ambiance has a slight 90s feel, which some think could benefit from a modern update, guests often find it a welcoming place to enjoy several hours with appetizers, entrees, and cocktails without feeling rushed. Recent reviews highlight the fantastic food, with guests enjoying the Chicken Marsala and Caesar salad, along with excellent service from attentive servers like Emma and Jessie. Despite some initial wait times, the overall dining experience is noted as enjoyable, with many expressing a desire to return.
