“We stopped here twice in one day because it was that good. The banana ball was so good and my daughter LOVED their beignets. Their frappe was the best she has ever had. The dirty hippie was my favorite drink. We had to grab one of their donuts as literally just staring at them is mouth watering. The staff is so friendly and welcoming we love the vibe of the entire place. This place is a must if you are in Wilmington and it's vegan friendly. Hands down best customer service and coffee“

“Genevieve was the one who took my order and not only was she super friendly and helped me get the MOST delicious order, I ordered an iced caramel coconut latte (& I don’t even like coconut and it was DELICIOUS) and THE BEST banana bread I’ve ever had but she also was super sweet (she asked to do a double take of my nails!)

The owner Tammy is so nice and full of energy. We in fact went twice. “One of my favorite places !! The beer is great .. the service is always friendly … these days I only return & spend my money at places w/ good service and Fly Trap is very consistent!!! We were there last night and the bartender came out to light the fire pit for us - I wish I counselor remember her name .. Cheryl ? “From Waianae Hawai’i, kanaka born and raised and been in Wilmington about a month or two. They musubi was kinda small compared to normal musubi’s but was good 😊, tried the Lava flow which was supposed to be like the spicy ahi poke was didn’t get the habanero stuff but got everything else. Tasted FRESHHHHHH which is very hard apparently for other places around here! So that’s a big winnahz!!!! FRESHHHHHH FISH!!!!! besides the adding of the eal sauce it tasted just like the regular spicy ahi poke you would get from Foodland back home. Or actually no it’s Tamura’s quality and if you know they got the best!!! So that’s says a lot. The furikake had a bit too much sesame for me but you know how they do. They are limited on the aloha juices but they got the good ones. They get hawai’i kine beer too. But overall was nice and good food, the dude that makes the stuff is nice he showed me the ahi and answered any question I had bc when you first see the menu it is VERY CONFUSING….. it’s not like back home at all. Very different but once explained you’ll get it! Nice ppl and Onolicious food! Not bad on pricing for da bowl either was normal size! Not much Hawaiian quality food this way or kanaka ran places but this one is good! 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾 and they got merch too! Not like haole style food it’s kanaka style!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥“

If anyone dines here for the first time, try if you can to do so at Noon of any day, when they ask patrons to stand for and sing the National Anthem. This is a business that "walks the walk" of appreciating this great nation - and not ashamed of doing it. And finally, did I mentioned their BBQ is exceptional! Thank you.“

“These sons of fishes won't stop making great beer. From the Second Cove IPA to the Danger Berry Blonde Ale, I can't stop; nay won't stop believing this may be the bestest beer in town. Don't even get me started on Thursday evening party fun time! 11/10 would recommend.“

“We had our annual Wandetlust Wilmington 2.0 Super Bowl party at Eagles Dare 2-9-25. Joe Apkarian the owner and his team were beyond superb for us all. We had a catered event there for almost 100 members of the group. The place was ready to rock and roll when we started to arrive. Joe was very accommodating in our set up of the room. The three bartenders Shelby, Gillian, and AJ were spot on with great customer service, attentive, and made wonderful drinks!! (They were so good I gave each one a personal tip and tipped again on my bill) Joe’s selection of the caterer was beyond expectation. Delivery was on time as well as the second refresh. He used Dough House Pizza Company” downtown. All the attendees could not stop praising the food. The place just made 100 new customers. “Fun birthday adventure for my wife, the food was delicious and pretty average cost wise.
The apple pie cinnamon roll was flakey and not overly sweet.

The pancake was HUGE. Added a sign of turkey sausage which was fried just right and the edges over easy!
The yolks were golden yellow.
Didn't have to wait long from ordering to getting our food. Server (s) weren't overbearing, or lacking.
Will likely be back before we head home from our of town.“

“I really enjoy the people and the overall atmosphere here. Came to Grinders quite often when I first moved back to Wilmington. However, Grinders has always been on the high end for prices. Just got my first Dirty Chai over 8 dollars in Wilmington! I didn’t mind that it was made iced instead of hot as I requested but the prices are pretty ridiculous for the area. Go to Bespoke or Casablanca, get the same ambience and mucchhh more affordable coffee in my opinion!“
