“This is the local spot go to - much of the area around this seafood hang was depicted in movies like Safe Haven. I did dinner at the bar. Locals are very personable. It was uncomfortably packed- but it was the height of the summer season. If you have been on the beach all day do not sit at the outside bar - too humid / clammy. Enjoy the Cajun fish bites. And try to park AWAY from the bldg… low tide and the water comes up to the restaurant entrance - it’s a thing - they have a walk bridge so you don’t ruin your shoes. I would go again.“

“My husband and I stopped in yesterday for a beer. We totally enjoyed our time spent there. We were in town on vacation and the workers made us feel very welcome. We met several people and enjoyed more than the one beer we had planned to get. This place is awesome, with lots of draft beer, cans and bottles, different wines, and delicious coffee. I didn't try the coffee but a couple different customers said it was great. If we make it back to this area on another vacation you can bet we'll be found there. Highly reccomend!“

“Get the Riko's Sauce wings, because they are amazing! My wife and I split a chef's salad, the wings, and a hot honey pizza. The salad wasn't anything special, but definitely nothing wrong with it. The pizza was VERY good; We love that the sauce. Cheese, and toppings go all the way to the end of the pie. The wings were definitely the highlight, though. Perfectly cooked and an amazing sauce.

“Ordered the barnyard dinner for my family (whole chicken, BBQ, choice of 2 sides and either rolls or hush puppies). We had the fried okra, macaroni salad and of course the hush puppies. Everything was delicious. Consistently excellent food. Staff were very professional and friendly.“

As wonderful as Maeve was, the drinks were even better! They were expertly made and the perfect way to relax while enjoying the beautiful marina atmosphere.

Although we didn’t have a chance to try the food, the welcoming staff, excellent drinks, and scenic waterfront setting made it well worth the stop. We’ll definitely be back to sample the menu on our next visit.“

“We love the variety and options that Major Beanz offers, from choosing the flavor of your beans to the endless syrups options we always have fun picking new flavor combinations. The atmosphere is nice and calm, pet friendly (you’re super lucky if you get to meet Buddy!), area for kids to play, and lots of cool trinkets and items to look at while you wait for your coffee. They also offer a variety of other drinks on the menu and in coolers of coffee is not your thing as well as lots of homemade snacks and desserts that we will be trying at a future visit with gluten free options available. We 10/10 recommend.“

“We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Ports of Call Bistro in downtown Southport! From the moment we walked in, Carol greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. Liam, our server, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu—truly top-notch service. We started with the artichoke hearts appetizer, which was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. For our mains, we enjoyed the seafood pot pie and the steak and mushroom pasta. Both dishes were phenomenal—the seafood pot pie was rich, comforting, and brimming with fresh seafood, while the steak and mushroom pasta was hearty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. A special touch was when the executive chef personally came to our table to check on our experience and chat with us. That level of care made the evening feel even more special.
