“Best restaurant on the island for breakfast hands down! Love having a morning mimosas and some eggs and bacon then walking on the pier afterwards.“

“This is the best restaurant in Southport. The chef is amazing with outstanding dishes such as maple pecan salmon over risotto and the bourbon bread pudding with home made salted caramel ice cream. The service is always great and Kimberly was no exception on our recent visit. In addition, Barbara at the front desk was so helpful and a charm to talk with about all kind of things including her devotion to adopt and care for senior doggies. This is always one of our highlights on our long journey at sea from Maryland to South Florida.“

“One of Southport's best restaurants. Never had a bad dining experience here and the service is always on point. I wish they'd change out there specials a bit more, but I know Chef Steve has his hands full already. You'll definitely need a reservation.“

“Fishy Fish Cafe was awesome! The food was seriously amazing—super fresh and packed with flavor. The vibe was laid-back, and the staff was super friendly, making the whole experience even better. If you’re around South Point, definitely check this place out. Highly recommend for anyone craving great seafood and a chill spot. Five stars for sure!“

“I had a great Ahi tuna sandwich. I did not see gluten free bun options. If you have a serious issue with gluten I would not eat here. However the food was really good. My tuna was cooked to perfection. I sat outside on the covered porch and enjoyed looking at the boats.“

“I feel the need to review this place since I had suspicions, but then they were false because it was actually good, and other websites like Yelp and TripAdvisor may not tell you to go there. Horizons is a great/good seafood restaurant located in the Bald Head Island Club. I love the golf carts, and good thing they had a parking space for them- which was meant to keep them from being too hot since it was covered by a roof. The elevator is very unique: you step in one one side, and you go out the other once you're there. Originally I thought it'd be like the sign on the front (that kind of restaurants judging from it), but it wasn't. It looked better than that. We sat outside with a party of 7, and our server was the myth, the (wo)man, the legend: Taylor. She was very nice and lightened the atmosphere for us. Whenever it was too sunny, she didn't mind the whole switching the entire seating of the table around kind of thing. She is very comical, too. Anyways, for appetizers, our table got the Crab Dip and a Pub Pretzel. I do not know what was in that crab dip (except crab), but HOLY SMOKES THAT WAS INCREDIBLE. It reminded me of some other dish, and I loved it. Pretzel was also good. For entrees, our table ordered 2 things of chicken tenders, buffalo wings, a caesar salad (maybe a different one), a Cape Fear burger, the shrimp or scallop risotto (i couldn't remember since I'm writing this the day after the meal), and the pan-seared Halibut. The food was good, but not amazing. For Bald Head standards, I'll give this a 5 star. For my regular standards, I'll give it a 4.
Also, I believe the seagulls raided some table at the far back. Although that happened, it was pretty funny to me.“

“They moved locations recently. They're on the opposite corner of the building they were at before (backside).
My mother and I dropped in for lunch after the beach & walking the boardwalk. It was refreshingly cool in there, temperature & scenery wise. A small place, with not much seating, but they made it work! We shared the pick 2, got flounder & shrimp. Not too shabby for the price. (Only one shrimp wasn't deveined) OH, great jams playing ?
Parking: There's street parking or a few different lots to choose from (depending on how far you want to walk). Paid, ofc. Peak season, get it early!
Wheelchair accessibility: Indeed, it is.“

“atmosphere was nice - almost a tad over the top. menu limited, could use a few more simple less costly choices. They need better live music too! The guy playing bass along with boring pre- recorded pseudo elevator jazz loops was disappointing at best.“

“Amazing food, clean restaurant. Lovely staff, very comforting place to eat. I got the chicken fried chicken & eggs would highly recommend getting this with their huge homemade biscuit. Yum! Eggs were perfectly cooked and the grits were well seasoned. Lots of butter offered, the real stuff, not yucky margarine. 10/10
Just a good place to eat with the food prepared and served with a smile.“

“My husband and I tried LPSH for the first time last evening. Inside the restaurant is small but cozy creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Food and service were excellent. The only negative is lack of parking which may deter customers from visiting this restaurant.“

“Food is good enough. Not the best Chinese food like what I’m used to, but they do have all the basics that everybody loves. I had vegetable lo mein, chicken fried rice and chicken wings. The fried rice didn’t have much flavor but soy sauce and other sauces should fix that. Being inside of the restaurant seemed a bit depressing because they do need an upgrade.“

“They no longer serve food and are strictly a bar but they said that you can bring food in. The drink prices seemed to be the best on the boardwalk and the bartender was very friendly and accomodating. They open early and are very close to the beach.
No beers on tap but will provide an ice cold pint glass on request. Oldest bar in the area established in 1957.
Not a whole lot going on decor or asthetic wise but they did have some nice tv's that were actually playing some normal stuff for a bar (a baseball game) which was really refreshing after visiting a few other bars that either didn't have tvs or were playing really odd channels.“

“We only tried the bar and the takeaway counter. Drinks were very good at both places. Only had the nachos at the bar and they were pretty weak. Hot dog deals and the drinks at the counter are great deals. Probably the best on the boardwalk. The bar also has great views of the beach and the boardwalk. I'd recommend both options but the counter was definitely our favorite.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome at both places. Our kiddo loved the Nathan's hotdogs they serve at the counter.“
