“We found this restaurant via Google search. We showed up without a reservation(sorry). We were welcomed and offered two seats at the bar. What a fantastic experience. Miranda was our server and there was nothing she could have done to make our dining experience more special. We spoke with the owners, the chef, and several servers, and everyone there made sure our dining experience was perfect. The drinks, the wine, the apps, the food(tuna nachos, crab fritters and shrimp Seoul bowls), everything was spectacular. We are already planning our next visit!“

The food is wonderfully prepared and the menu has something for everyone. My wife and I believe this is one of the top 5 restaurants we eaten at anywhere in the country. The seafood is always fresh and cooked perfectly and all the servers we have had in the numerous times we have visited have been top notch. “This is the local spot go to - much of the area around this seafood hang was depicted in movies like Safe Haven. I did dinner at the bar. Locals are very personable. It was uncomfortably packed- but it was the height of the summer season. If you have been on the beach all day do not sit at the outside bar - too humid / clammy. Enjoy the Cajun fish bites. And try to park AWAY from the bldg… low tide and the water comes up to the restaurant entrance - it’s a thing - they have a walk bridge so you don’t ruin your shoes. I would go again.“

“Have lived down here for 5 years. This is the first time we came to Oliver's, and we were not disappointed.! The food was amazing. The server jacqueline, really hustled and bustled with a smile on her face and very, very sweet! My husband is a diabetic and also on dialysis, and has to watch his intake on certain things. And they did his French fries without salt, like we asked, and instead of frying the catfish, he baked it . If I could give jacqueline, a higher than 5 stars. I would .“

“This is my absolute favorite place to eat in Southport! I wish I lived closer. Thee Special is my go to order but I always substitute cucumber and tomato salad for the corn. The food is always hot and delicious. And the staff is super friendly. Plus nothing beats open air dining on the water.“

“Custom sales was a nice touch. Fresh bread drinks were good. Wine selection was okay. Would have expected. Seen some more mailbacks to go with the steaks. Steaks were good. Prime rib is better. Most of our chicken dishes are good. We had one chicken order that was overcooked. Pasta and sides were good. Very limited dessert selection. Only two items overall good place.“
