“We found this restaurant via Google search. We showed up without a reservation(sorry). We were welcomed and offered two seats at the bar. What a fantastic experience. Miranda was our server and there was nothing she could have done to make our dining experience more special. We spoke with the owners, the chef, and several servers, and everyone there made sure our dining experience was perfect. The drinks, the wine, the apps, the food(tuna nachos, crab fritters and shrimp Seoul bowls), everything was spectacular. We are already planning our next visit!“

“Our group of three ate here on a spring vacation. We liked it very much, we ate here twice! The place was small, yet not crowded. No wait for a table! One time there I had bacon and eggs , yummy! Another time there I had the BLT . Delicious! My parents and I enjoyed watching the people walking around the streets outside of our booth window and the restaurant noise level was not too loud. This made it easy for us to talk about our trip plans. The best part was our service was spot on… staff did awesome job on taking orders and getting them not only correct yet also out quick . “I was craving nacho’s and I knew this would be a good pick. The nachos were warm, just a little spicy, salty, and crunchy. I liked being able to choose between different protein toppings. The service was fast and friendly. On top of that, I was seated in the shade on the water front and it was gorgeous! I’ll definitely eat here again. “We visited Granny’s Country Kitchen for breakfast this past week while on vacation in Carolina Beach. It was so good! The staff is very nice and very attentive. I ordered the 2 eggs and meat plate and got country ham with it and a gravy biscuit instead of the grits. My son got French toast and he loved it. We ate inside but there is also an area outside with picnic tables to eat. We will definitely visit here the next time we stay in Carolina Beach.“

“It's been a rough few weeks for small business owners in Southport since the storm and local road issues haven't helped. The other day instead of waiting in traffic I stopped in to check on a friend & fellow restaurant owner at Southport Gourmet and Sushi Bar. Like me at The Saucy Southerner their daily business has been greatly affected and I had an idea I offered the owners. I decided to put together a night with friends and let the restaurant show off a little! Let me tell you!! They showed off big time and made us the most amazing meal!! Our group ate until we couldn't eat any more, and then we ate more!! Everything was fresh, great service and the food was delicious!!! From the sensational appetizers to kick things off, to the second course of some delightful fresh sushi boats and then finished it off with some of their favorite items!! All around we all had a wonderful time and we're grateful to be able to support a local small business during these challenging times. The best part was we beat all the traffic issues, had quality time with friends and made the night a little better for everyone involved! Get out there and support local small businesses and slow down a little. Live life and have fun!!“

“My boys and I had dinner here on Saturday after the music festival. There was a short 15-minute wait to get a table, but it was well worth the wait. Our server was wonderful, and on top of everything. We never had to ask for anything, and refills were on the table before we were out. “My husband and I visited Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar Wednesday night for the first time. We sat over the water and WOW the view was incredible! We shared an appetizer of calamari that was cooked to perfection! Ava was our bartender, she was very kind and shared the history of the pier with us. Overall a wonderful experience. “First time here. I had a take out, and I ordered the spaghetti. Its very basic, and the sauce tasted like it came out of a bottle, no favor, and the noobles needed salt. I only eat what I could, and threw out the rest in the garbage. As for the restaurant itself, it needs be renovated. Looks like an old pizza hut from the 80's.“
