“We eat breakfast here every time we come to the beach. The staff is always so friendly and the food is delish! I was just coming to their page to make sure they were open tomorrow 😂 then it asked me if I’d recommended The Purple Onion. 10 out of 10 recommended!! I can’t recall ever having a bad experience here. And if I did, it’d be okay because we all have bad days every now and then.“

“We have had issues finding places we like (a lot of the places around her have been bland). We came from an area where we were pretty spoiled with great restaurants and Wing & Fish has been the only place so far that is comparable. We have been here three times so far and they have been very consistent each time. The food is great, and the staff are friendly and attentive.“

“If I could give a 10 rating 10 times I would! I ordered a 20-person package of bbq & chicken with slaw & potato salad. It was delicious & included iced tea, cups, paper plates, napkins, utensils, bbq sauce, hush puppies, & even salt & pepper…….plus ice. I couldn’t have asked for better food & service…….it was ready at pick-up time & rolled out on a cart with help to load into my car. “We love Jeromes's. We go 3-4 times a week. Suggestions to make it better: 1. Real Butter instead of the Spread; 2. Be more consistent with the $10 specials. We are never sure if there is going to be a special, or what the special is going to be. We also enjoy the ribs, senior seafood plate, and beef tips. The salad bar is great. Excellent local restaurant without driving a long way.“

“I usually don't eat a lot of hotdogs, but since discovering Burg-Dog I find myself eating them at least once a week. Definitely would recommend this place. Clean, friendly, fast, and affordable. Don't change a thing, perfect as it is.“

“First learned about beaches four years ago. Just went for the first time yesterday. Wish I had gone sooner because it certainly did not disappoint. We ordered a Philly cheesesteak and two different burgers. The food and the service was excellent. I will certainly make beaches a regular place to eat whenever I’m craving a burger.“

“Such a good little find. My family has seen this place for years but it never looked open when we drove by. Fast forward to tonight-came in around 6pm-just before the rush apparently. Had a great waiter-can't remember his name but he was tall and really on his game. Anyhow-the food and drinks were quite good-we had the snapper special, goat cheese salad, a kids meal and the jerk tacos. All were really tasty, served quickly, correct temperature and great flavor! The cocktails were strong and tasty. All in-we will be back. Super appreciate that they were able to accommodate kids and my food allergies.“

“They have two gentlemen on their dock to help you tie up. When we finished lunch my power steering hose leaked. Nick the dock worker helped me get back on the water big shout out to Nick at Provisions. The food was great it our go to place from the water.“

“The best seafood at Holden Beach!! The seafood is always fresh, no matter your choice. I recommend one of the platters, so you get a taste of it all. The flounder is the best you will find at Holden Beach unless you buy and fry your own. The prices are very reasonable, and you get enough for another meal. We have owned a home at HB since 1964 and have seen many restaurants come and go, but The Silver Hill is still there and still the best. It may not be a fancy building like some restaurants, but I do not judge my food by its architecture, I judge the quality, freshness, and taste of the meal, and you can't get better than the Silver Hill. I promise you that you won't be disappointed in your meal or the price. Silver Hill Grill is the best!!“

“I had my April 2024 wedding here and the experience is almost indescribable. I had this venue booked for more than a year, and as you can imagine, I had a lot of questions. I communicated with the manager, Marnie, more than 100 times via email and I ALWAYS received a quick response with my questions answered even with my events months down the line. The food and staff at this venue are amazing. My wedding went off without a hitch and all the compliments were on the food, friendly staff, and beautiful panoramic views of the beach. The food was great! We served the pecan chicken and a pasta station. The guests raved about the chicken and waffle slider appetizer as well. As soon as the dances were over and we sat at our sweetheart table we were immediately greeted with food from Marnie and a staff member. This goes to show their level of professionalism and attentiveness. The kids' food was also served first and that impressed parents. I was told this was the first wedding that occurred and they were thrilled. I only have wonderful things to say. You will not be let down with any event you host at the Isles. Thanks Marnie!! You guys are amazing. I need to find another event to throw just so I can come back!“

“We arrived early evening on a Tuesday and the place was absolutely slammed. We put her name in for a table and went upstairs for a Tiki drink or two. Drinks were excellent. After we were seated our server, Riley took out drink order and reappeared quickly with water and our drinks. I have the captain’s platter and chose shrimp and clams and Anne ordered the shrimp and grits. Riley had warned us that it’s a large portion, but who knows what that really can be. Well, the food arrived promptly and the shrimp and grits truly was an enormous portion. Enough for two. Was creamy, cheesy, slammed full of shrimp, andouille and mushrooms. My shrimp and clams were lightly breaded and fried to perfection. Frankly, as busy as it was, I was surprised with the speed of service and the quality of the food. Absolutely recommend this place!“

The owner of the restaurant always make sure that we’re satisfied with the quality of service and food. I was in the restaurant business before moving onto my career. For almost 15 years. It helped me get through school and pay for a lot. So I have understanding of European cuisine fusion and other types of Cuisines that typically people find appealing. This restaurant is phenomenal. The food is always on point. I’ve been dining here takeout and dine in for two years plus. If there’s ever a discrepancy with my order? The owner always makes things right. Phenomenal service, phenomenal food, and until the day I die, this restaurant will have my business. If you’re on vacation or you’re here playing golf? Hell, if you’re a person that just moved here and looking for a great spot to call home? I highly recommend this restaurant. If I was only allowed to give them five out of five stars? They would have a solid five stars and I’ll be looking for a way to create another star. They are that good. Thank you so much for quality food and excellent service. “I got the platter with BBQ and shrimp. I asked for hush puppies instead of fries. Bbq and slaw were delicious. Shrimp were pretty good. Hush puppies were like eating grease balls. I was so sad- I don’t know if they need to drain them more or what. We will come back - I will get the BBQ again.“

“How they keep return customers, I don't know. We keep trying to have a good experience but have been disappointed almost every time. Parking lot looks like an area trash point, service is slow, food is mediocre (which is OK for a beach bar, if it is consistently good, warm and tasty). We need good restaurants in Sunset Beach, this one has a looong way to go. The food trucks in the park across the street offer a better dining experience, which is sad.“
