Jerome's was recommended to us by a local businessman in Shalotte. He was totally correct concerning their buffett. True southern down-home cooking. I'm sure no one could leave there without being totally satisfied. We ate way too much food, but it was so delicious. We were there approximately 1:00 on a Friday afternoon. Neither of us even thought about having another meal until Saturday afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. : )
I got a carry out order when I went so I can't speak to exactly how the inside was but it looked decent enough and it was clean. The staff I did talk to were prompt and courteous. The price is a little on the lower end for a steak house, plus they have a buffet option. Still you're looking at about $20/adult, the portions are very generous though. I ordered the Sirloin tips with baked potato and 1 trip to the salad bar. Salad bar was well stocked and everything was fresh and good. Steak tips turned out to be a thin sirloin cut up in straps. They were tasteless with no seasoning and overcooked. Baked potato was done, but whoever cut it open cut through the foil and I wound up picking foil out of my potato. I think maybe I just ordered the wrong meal.
