“I have been a big fan of Mo’s Pizza for years. Today I tried some other menu options and was completely blown away. The pasta and marinara are excellent. The vegetables are well prepared and fresh. They are not heavily sauced but rely on their natural flavor. The roasted potatoes were exceptional. Service was very friendly, prompt and professional. A real plus is being able to get a first rate meal without having to sit in traffic for an hour. Plenty of free parking more bonus points! Highly recommended!“

“As we stepped off the ferry onto Bald Head Island, several locals told us there was one place we absolutely had to visit for breakfast and coffee: Jailhouse Provisions.

Luckily, we had our bikes with us, so we hopped on and made the short ride over to the restaurant.

It’s no secret that Jailhouse Provisions is popular. There was a long line when we arrived, but don’t let that discourage you—the staff kept it moving quickly and efficiently.

We ordered the sourdough avocado toast with bacon, and it was absolutely outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and easily one of the best breakfast items we’ve had in a long time. We also tried the sausage, egg, and cheese taco. While it was on the small side, it was packed with flavor and definitely worth ordering.

Keep in mind that you’re on an island, so expect to pay a little more than you would on the mainland. In our opinion, the quality of the food made it worthwhile.

If you’re planning a trip to Bald Head Island, I’d absolutely recommend making Jailhouse Provisions your first stop after getting off the ferry. It’s a fantastic way to start your day.“

“We wanted something quick and simple to take back to the room and eat, so we found this place! It is just a walk up window. We got hotdogs, walk in nachos and a quesadilla! If you are looking for something fancy, this ain't it, but if you are looking for something easy, cheap and filling, this is your place!“

“Our group of three ate here on a spring vacation. We liked it very much, we ate here twice! The place was small, yet not crowded. No wait for a table! One time there I had bacon and eggs , yummy! Another time there I had the BLT . Delicious! My parents and I enjoyed watching the people walking around the streets outside of our booth window and the restaurant noise level was not too loud. This made it easy for us to talk about our trip plans. The best part was our service was spot on… staff did awesome job on taking orders and getting them not only correct yet also out quick . I had discovered it as I passed by and decided to try it. was not disappointed fast seating on a Saturday night excellent service by Amber and very good food. several staff checked on me during the visit. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Will be there more often.“

“Every vacation to CB we take we always stop at Michael’s! My son had his first crab cakes here and it’s been a tradition ever since. We make sure to come by everytime we visit!! A staple for sure. It’s always a wonderful time and the staff are always amazing.“

“My husband and I visited Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar Wednesday night for the first time. We sat over the water and WOW the view was incredible! We shared an appetizer of calamari that was cooked to perfection! Ava was our bartender, she was very kind and shared the history of the pier with us. Overall a wonderful experience. “Fried mushrooms good & hot(bear batter) ordered chicken fried chicken, was tender. Friend ordered liver/onions said was good. Nice & thin. Fried okra was over cooked and asked for gravey on side but put on mashed potatoes (not a big deal, just not how I asked) waitress didn't check on us at all until we were done,(was not busy at all so it wasn’t bc of to many patrons) didn't offer dessert mistake bc we were going to get cheesecake to go..also could hear cussing from the kitchen as well as waitresses complaining about how many times the chef rang the bell(yes it was excessive, but not what patrons need to hear)

Lena and Jayden make this a pleasurable experience as well with their warm smiles and professionalism. I like the way they deal with all the customers. It’s out of my way a bit, but it’s worth the trip!“
