“Have eaten pulled pork and fried chicken at various Smithfield locations and have yet to be dissatisfied with the taste, though somewhat overpriced. Typically, placing an order is fast, but delivery is always a bit slow. Only fail of this visit was that the site was out of lemon juice packets (and/or lemon slices) for my tea.“
“I'll make this a short review / my wife and I along with another couple went on 3/4/24 arrived around 4pm. We had not been to local's in some time. So here it is. Service was fine! Food was very good, and we all had something different. Beer very cold! Our server " Amy I think " who seems to be kind of a do it all gal here, was great, helpful and quick to refill drinks. All in all for a small local bar as good as it gets!!!“
“Being a northerner, I had never been to a Waffle House until now. It’s good, I like it. Inexpensive unassuming kinda place sort of like an iHop or something. It was fun and I’d come here again if I end up in the area, they are all over the place down here, don’t know why they don’t have them up in the Boston area where I’m from. I bet they’d do well…“
“Food was cold. Not what we paid for. Service was great. We can after burying my auntie. It was a Large party. But the lady held it down got us taken care of while she was training another person. That speaks volumes on a Saturday with a packed “
“My first time at this location. I enjoyed the atmosphere and design here. I was seated and placed my order quickly however, the server didn't return during the meal to offer beverage refill or to check on things. When I requested the check and water to go she promptly placed the check on the table but it was awhile to receive the water to go.My meal was delicious.“
“Even taking out there's an atmosphere of the restaurant that makes you want to come back to dine in!Vegetarian options: Salads, vegetables served hot, not just lettuce salads, fresh fruit availableDietary restrictions: If you order anything with a dietary restriction, they will say they can or offer an alternative.Kid-friendliness: It's a family restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk is accessible as well as the tables.“
“The Restaurant had a good atmosphere, the food is excellent. I ordered the crab cakes. That is my favorite thing to get here. It’s a little expensive, well worth the extra money to get a good meal in a nice place. Excellent for date nights, work lunches if you have the time to sit and eat, etc. I would recommend this to about everyone I know“
“Food was delicious, and the atmosphere was as expected for a brewery. The service was slow going and drinks weren't refreshed without asking but it could've just been a dud server. It happens. Talk about a tough Food choice to make! Everything on the menu sounded delicious but I ended up going with a burger. It was cooked exactly as requested and the sweet potato fries were bomb. Very affordable for a family of 4. We ate well for just under $60. Would definitely go here again.Parking: Due to location, street parking is limited to meter or city parking garages.“
“We had a great dining experience along with our 2 pre-school aged kiddos. We called 30 mins in advance to try to make reservations. They took our name and number and suggested to be added to the waitlist which helped cut down our wait time when we arrived. Service was excellent and food is delicious. Would highly recommend the Crab Cakes and the Fisherman’s Stew. This place is a gem and looking forward to coming back!“
“This is my new favorite in Wilmington! We did the chefs tasting menu and were so impressed. It was a ton of food and we got to try so many different options. Everything we tried was insanely delicious. We just moved from San Francisco and this food is seriously just as good as any upscale restaurant in SF. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. They are able to accommodate gluten free and modified several dishes. Definitely will be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly“
“Wife and I had dinner here before a show at the Thalian Theater. We were quite impressed. Being from Pensylvania, we liked the Philly sports memorabilia. The food was great along with the service delivered by our server Mary Hannah.Awesome night in Wilmington with a great dinner and show. Oh yeah, I had the roast beef sandwich that Guy Fieri raved about on his show. Wife had the fish and chips. Both dishes were incredible. We will be back.“
“What a fun day! We used the parking lot and one we had that parking app downloaded, off we went! It was just a short walk over to this historical restaurant with the most beautiful old real wooden floors and we got a great booth! It wasn't busy for lunch and the waiter was wonderfully friendly! Hubby tried the BBQ Clam Chowder and it was loaded with clams with just a hint of bbq in a delicious homemade cream based sauce not too thick at all! He also got the burger cooked perfectly and I got the linguini and calamari! I'm Still thinking about what a great day it was as we left and car toured the old huge historical beautiful buildings down the block before leaving Wilmington! Not too far from MB and a refreshing change from Charleston, but with a lot of similar good vibes!“
“This is my fave restaurant for a special night out in Wilmington, so when it came to choosing where to have my birthday dinner, it was a no brainer. An hour before the reservation, my babysitter had to cancel suddenly. I called the restaurant to ensure it was ok if my 2 year old joined and they assured me it was. I cannot stress enough how WONDERFUL the staff and chef were- even making himButtered noodles and giving him a condiment cup of his favorite - cherries! I was so stressed going into it but had no reason to be at all! Insanely good food and the kindest ppl. Thank you all so much.“
“What a fun dining experience! We met up with friends and had a table reserved in the bar. The bartenders waited on us; they were knowledgeable, personable, professional, and did a wonderful job reading the table to make it a lovely evening. The specialty drink list was a bit bourbon-heavy, but they had a very good selection of liquors and wines as options. I enjoyed my rose and the others did their cocktails, as well. The food menu is split into small and large plates. Though in general the portions were on the smaller side, the food was so flavorful and satisfying that one choice from each of the two sizes was enough for each couple to share.I did not explore the whole restaurant, but it apparently has several smaller (private?) dining rooms, in addition to tables around the bar area and several outdoor tables. We had a great experience and look forward to visiting again.“
“Got the Rebel Yell with tater tots which was yummy. The sandwich is big so I only at half. Our server was responsive, although they gave my husband tater tots instead of the waffle fries he ordered. They had a high chair for my son. And changed TV channels when they noticed us trying to watch a particular screen that was further away. I would eat here again. Just wish the table lanterns were brighter, its dark inside the restaurant.“
“Great little place for lunch, breakfast or brunch. Everything is great and the employees are amazing. Bread pudding is A-Mazing! Make sure you try this place while you are in the port city. There is a cool record place across the street and and awesome thrift shop.“
“Gabby, our server, was great, food was fantastic. Especially loved the oysters on the half shell. They were big and delicious. Ice cold tasty beverages made for a good time. Loved it all.Parking: It was great at the time we went 4:00. But I'm guessing it could get tricky.“
“My teenage sons wanted to go to a roof top to eat and watch the view. The place is very nice, fancy style very casual, wonderful view and outstanding service. Staff will make anything to make you feel cozy (and warm as it was chilly!) Recommending the Brussels sprouts (delicious) and the Purple hear cocktail! Goes with the mood there ?. No need to say my sons enjoyed the food and the place! So double win!“
“Very enjoyable. Slightly above average pub fare. Not terrible by any stretch. The riverboat vibe is relaxing and chill. It doesn't do much outside the environment to distinguish it from other quality pubs, but in the end, it is still also a quality pub.Prices are a smidge high, but not ludicrous.Worth a stop, fer shur.“
“This is a strange review. Why? The overall rating is higher than the individual segment. Why? The beef tartare! The STAR of the night. The lemon puree brightened the dish and married the flavors of the pickled fennel, black garlic aioli, capers, and smoked trout roe. The beet tartare was also a treat. The candied pecans played well with dill sour cream and apple vinaigrette the mustard and capers brought a briny flavor that leveled out the sweet notes, but the smoked goat cheese brought them all together. The oysters were interesting, with vodka sauce parmesan bread crumb. The Blackened Shrimp & Grit Grits lead creamy stone ground grits. The seared greens tasted as though they were blanched before they were seared. The ratio of celery root and sunchokes to shrimp was more on the veggies side. I ordered a side of black eyed peas and collards. The collards were cooked well. I like a more vinegary collard. There was a sweetness that looked to level off the vinegar taste. The sweet was a little much for me. The black eyed peas were fresh and bright. I like mine cooked a little longer, but you could taste the farm to table on these. The sides came out at the end of completing my entree, which was not ideal. The server seemed nervous at the beginning of the service. Warmed up towards the middle and got swamped with tables at the end of our service. My wife had the pork chop, i didn’t try it. I knew better. She didn’t offer like she usually does? The seating was tighter than my liking, but the parties closest were very considerate, we all keep or volume down.Vegetarian options: Lions mane steak & beet tarts, butternut hummus“
“My friend Gina and I came to have a few drinks in an appetizer.it was really good and reasonable. We got mini corn dogs and the pimento cheese spread. Super super superrrrrrr good. The pepper jelly you serve with it. It's amazing ??Definitely will be back“
“We came here because burgers and Guy Fieri. I'm so happy we did! Service was very good - when they were out of the wine I was drinking the waitress made a great suggestion for a replacement. The burgers were SO good. I had the pimento and I HIGHLY recommend it. While the fries are not celiac safe, they have a gluten free bun that was great. As someone with a gluten allergy (not celiac)I felt safe and did not have a reaction. We would happily come back and bring friends.“
“Cool spot. You can grab a seat in the Alcove brewery area and order food next door and they bring it to you. I ordered a beer and got my food. Everything was amazing. Only issue is the service was minimal. I had to go back and ask for cutlery and wave to get my check for my one beer, while only 2 others at the bar. We all have off days in the service Industry though. Can't wait to revisit.“
“I really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was very nice and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back. By the way, I enjoyed the alligator tail so much that I had to bring some home. My sister and brother also enjoyed it too.“
“For the 2nd year I was the Live Entertainment for their Annual Great Gatsby Gala; and needless to say, it was and I had an ABSOLUTE BLAST! The Members have been so very appreciative and supportive of the Show my Business Partner and I perform, and I look SO MUCH FORWARD to each year we are asked to return! The Staff Members are the absolute MOST FRIENDLY AND CORDIAL and have been like extended family from one year to the second ?????! I'm VERY HAPPY AND GRATEFUL for my NEWFOUND FAMILY at the City Club of Wilmington ?????!“
“The cafe is part of the art museum and what a treat it was for our visit. There was a large party of lovely ladies speaking French, a smattering of children visiting with their mothers, and a few other visitors such as ourselves enjoying the lovely fall Wilmington weather and the lunch fare available. You really must go if you are in the Wilmington area. It is a wonderful experience for young and old alike.“
“Diane and I went out for dinner in recent weeks and I have to say it was a truly unique wonderful experience. The service and food was spectacular, so much so that I didn’t think about how expensive the meal was. I think the company helped soften the blow. Anyone looking for the best filet mignon in town town this is the place to go true blue butcher and barrel is a lot more intimate than the setting at Butcher and Block. I’ll have to go next Wednesday for the five dollar Smashburger as I heard it is incredible and at that price why not buy a few other sides“
“This is our favorite spot for a GREAT burger. The ladies are so kind and recognize us (even though we haven’t been able to get up there as much recently). We make a point of going every Valentine’s Day and they make it extra special for us. It’s also EXCELLENT hangover-cure-food. We love Faye’s!!! ❤️“
“Let preface this by saying I was here on St Paddy’s Day. I’ve never been to Dixie Grill before so I don’t have a clue how busy it usually is. But I will say from the time I put my name on the list until the time I finished it was 1.5 hours. I was by myself at the bar so I wasn’t chit chatting or anything. The food was good though, corned beef and hash over medium eggs. The biscuit was a little too crispy on the outside for me. I would still recommend this place for breakfast.“
“Great atmosphere, service and weekly food and drink specials. The general manager Allen is super friendly and the wait and bar staff are always very helpful and welcoming to guests. Prices are always reasonable especially these days. Definitely recommend Spindle’s and I frequent them “
“This place is somewhat hard to find, almost like a little hidden hole-in-the wall. But Geez....it's a Great place to eat!! Alot of local folks, especially frequented by a lot of New Hanover Regional Medical Center staff. My wife and I were lucky to have found it. It's definitely a recommended place to eat. The roast beef sandwich is Wonderful!!“
“Paddy's is a nice pub and restaurant in the Cotton Exchange in Wilmington North Carolina. Excellent 5 stars and as good as being in Belfast or Dublin. The food is really good. The fish and chips, Cole slaw ,steak french fries and fried Okra were delicious. The Okra was a first for me and it was delicious fried. The building is historical and in the Cotton Exchange building. Service was excellent.“
“We ordered the vegan wings with the NC BBQ sauce. I think they were the Gardein strips. They were crispy, and the sauce was sweet with a little kick. The vegan ranch was good, too! We had the Impossible vegan smash burger. They had vegan cheese and vegan mayo. The burger was seasoned perfectly. The fries and tots were crispy and hot. Our server was pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Great vegan options!“
“Sat outside. Dog friendly. Suggest you bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen for lunchtime. Easy to navigate GF on the menue. Crab dip (not gf) and scallop appetizers yummy. Only 3 scallops, which was enough for us. Lunch entrees at our table were French dip. Cesar salad with grilled chicken and grilled chicken sandwich with pimento cheese. All food was very tasty. Large portions. Bathroom clean. Server friendly. Sister restaurant next door also bog friendly.“
“I was looking around for good dinner spots downtown to go to with my son and husband when a friend recommended Bourbon Street— i'm so glad I went! Such an amazing atmosphere and my family loved it too! Our server Michelle was the best, super attentive and made great conversation. I have food allergies and special instructions that Michelle was very vigilant about following! My son recommends the Rue Bourbon oysters if you’re looking for suggestions. This definitely won’t be my last time eating here!“
“No exaggeration, this is the best restuarant I've ever been to. The food was absolutely amazing. Try the Raviolis and crab dip. Boyfriend said the blackened catfish is the only catfish he's ever loved. The drinks were too good! I recommend Queen Anne's Revenge. The waitstaff was so fun and helpful. It was nice being inside out of the wind. And the interior was gorgeous. Such a wonderful choice for our anniversary dinner.“
“We ate at this new location for the first time yesterday morning and it was delicious! The staff were friendly, the food was done quickly and tasted amazing and the place was very clean. I would definitely recommend this Waffle House location!“
“My favorite lunch spot. I eat lunch here about once a week! Salads are delicious and fresh. Fried green tomatoes are also very good. Make sure you have someone to share (the portion is good size. Service is always friendly and at a good pace.“
“Ah, the Veranda has been a local secret spot for years. Their staff is unmatched to any other place I have found. The view from the back patio on to the large driving range is spectacular. If you have never been, go see what it's all about. You will love it!“
“My friends/family have eaten here for breakfast/lunch several times and twice for dinner. Staff is very friendly, professional, and efficient. Menu is fairly varied, and we have not had any issues with the way the food is prepared or tastes. The kitchen does need to pay closer attention to the orders put in. On two occasions, one of our parties asked for accommodation to her order, which was noted by our server. However, when the order was brought to her, she had to send it back as it was prepared without the requested accommodation. Otherwise, we always have a good experience.“
