“We are on vacation and this was a dinner we had on our must try list. We ordered online and it was ready when we arrived. The staff member was very kind and informative, letting us know each step to get this good stuff steamed up. They also provide printed instructions. I’m not sure which bucket we ordered, but it had shrimp, clams, crab, potatoes, sausage, kielbasa, onions, and scallops. It was more than we could finish at one sitting, but we look forward to finishing off the leftover shrimp and potatoes! I love that we get to keep the bucket and we plan on ordering for home delivery in a couple of months. It was so good! And fun!“

The menu is really good - not overcrowded with too many options…it has the right number of options so you can actually pick out what you want.The house chips are great. “We have been coming to Topsoil for years and this is the one of two reliably good places to eat on the island, in my opinion. We've never been disappointed and always leave full.Ironically, never had their oysters, but their shrimp is delicious and we always, *always*, get the fries for the app.Dietary restrictions: Great with allergens to ensure no cross contamination on the menu. We've never requested modifications, though.Parking: Parking can be difficult during on season, but never any problems off season. Be careful where you park, because some spaces are reserved for specific businesses.“
“Cool Country rustic atmosphere like general store. Pork snack excellent. Potato salad is really good like a deli with a hint of dill. Really good food and surprisingly inexpensive for the area. Good parking lots of room inside. Very friendly servers. Tea is good moderately sweet not sugar overload tastes fresh. Good portions of food. Good grade 97.5 at this time. Food hot very quick friendly service.Parking: Shopping center parking on two sides plenty of space during rush hour traffic.“
“Wow! Came here after lunch for something sweets. I don't normally even like donuts but I really enjoyed this donut. Was able to park outside in the lot. We went inside and the worker was very kind. He gave us a run down on the menu and what was popular. The donuts are made right on the spot so it was so warm and just a great consistency. They are cake donuts that you can add glaze and toppings to so you can make it your own. My one donut was ~$2.50. I ordered the mint donut and loved it. It kinda looked like shrek. So warm and tasty! I would definitely come back! Was able to sit outside on the bench and enjoy my donut!“
“Highly recommend. Went with a group of 10 including 5 children. Nothing bad to say (well, maybe paid parking but oh well). Great food, attentive and caring servers, great ocean view. It’s a popular place as we had a short wait…the sign of a solid restaurant.Parking: There are maybe 4-5 free parking spots but it’s a busy place so expect to pay for parking in nearby lots unless you go after 6pm (then parking is free).“
“Had lunch there today with some friends!! The hotdogs we had were awesome!! I loved the fries because there weren’t overcooked like most places do. Finished it off with a big hot brownie sundae!!! The atmosphere was nice and the tables were really clean! Definitely will be going back on summer vacation!!“
“We love going to coastal every time we visit Topsail. They have a large variety of beer and cider. The service is friendly and quick. They always play sports and good music. But the food is by far the reason we go. Everything we have had has been super and top notch for what's offered on the island. We love the hot honey shrimp, wings, jalepeno nachos, burgers, wraps, tots, fries and more. We love the tastiness of the food. It's amazing and 100% worth a trip when visiting Topsail. You can also get your food to go and sit anywhere in town.“
“Food was okay but we got ice cream to take back to the kids and they didn’t have covers for their ice cream sundaes and also no sugar free options. The customer service was very rushed and it was expensive for an ice cream shop. I would pass on this spot.“

The food *Mouth Watering!!* The service *Debbie was Super Sweet!!* We started with Mahi bites ? and then had the grilled Mahi with crab cakes with cheese grits, Yummers! And last and BEST of all was the Key Lime Pie!! You HAVE TO save room for this!!! We WILL be going back at least one more time this trip!! Highly recommend!!!“
“So good I had to eat here twice during our recent trip to Surf City! First time I had the Italian sub and the second time I had the reuben sandwich. Both were excellent! Service is very friendly and fast. They do have plenty of parking and have a small seating area downstairs and more seating upstairs. They have a pretty large menu of sandwiches and breakfast. If you're craving a great sandwich drop in and check this spot out. I'll be back for sure.“
“Love the food at Cowfin. Everything we have ever eaten there has been great. My husband especially loves the peanut butter and bacon burger. And the service is usually great. However, I am not happy we were charged $2 for a split plate. I ordered the Nachos and he ordered the burger. They brought them separately so I ate and he had some. Then they brought his burger cut in two (and squished flat). Didn't think anything about it until I looked at the receipt this morning. Maybe servers should ask if people are sharing and not assume. Also, this is not documented on the menu!“

Which is always ridiculous in this wasteful world, but especially on a coastal town where plastic is killing our sea turtles. The atmosphere is very laid back and friendly. “H” took care of us she was arguably the best waitress we’ve ever had. Even though it was jam packed she made sure to keep our drinks filled and continued checking on us making sure we were satisfied.“

Outdoor and indoor seating. They have a great selection of fun merchandise and local books as a bonus. We will definitely be back!“
