“4 years after discovering this little gem, it is still our favourite place to eat in the Sunset Beach/Calabash area. they have the best clam strips I've ever had! The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is excellent. Did you know you can get your hot dogs fried? I learned something new tonight and it was a great discovery. Can't wait until October gets here so I can enjoy more delicious food!“

“We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. I ordered the house salad and Asiago pasta with Shrimp. He had the Seafood platter with flounder, scallops and oysters with coleslaw. Then we finished with the Tiramisu for dessert. The presentation of the food was wonderful. The service was great. There was no real wait time. The food was amazing! You have to try it!“

“Wanted to give a special thank you to Castaway Keys on Main - and, Karina! - for a wonderful meal. It was the BEST food we ate during our recent stay in North Myrtle Beach. “Love the chicken Jarrett its my go to every time. My sister enjoys the fried fish or shrimp every time. She sometimes gets the fried okra for appetizer. Food has always been 10/10. Service usually pretty good. Our last visit on 2/26 we had Zach. He was fantastic the best yet 12/10. Give them a try and ask for Zach. I enjoy it so much always forget to take pictures. As you can see we had sampled dessert before I got that pic. Always so good I dive right in.“

“We had the best time, great food and fun service! One of my best friends and I ate there, at the outdoor bar. We had a blast with the staff and the other patrons. We met a couple of four legged regulars….some very tame raccoons came up on the deck and added to our fun and laughter!“

“We arrived early evening on a Tuesday and the place was absolutely slammed. We put her name in for a table and went upstairs for a Tiki drink or two. Drinks were excellent. After we were seated our server, Riley took out drink order and reappeared quickly with water and our drinks. I have the captain’s platter and chose shrimp and clams and Anne ordered the shrimp and grits. Riley had warned us that it’s a large portion, but who knows what that really can be. Well, the food arrived promptly and the shrimp and grits truly was an enormous portion. Enough for two. Was creamy, cheesy, slammed full of shrimp, andouille and mushrooms. My shrimp and clams were lightly breaded and fried to perfection. Frankly, as busy as it was, I was surprised with the speed of service and the quality of the food. Absolutely recommend this place!“

“We plan on going back! Everyone ended up getting different burgers and everyone was thrilled! Their hushpuppies are also very good. Staff was super nice! There is some parking close by, but be prepared that you might have to pay. Restrooms were single stall, but clean!“

“We’ve eaten here year after year. Ate here tonight and it was as great as always. I had the grilled seafood platter and everything was perfect. Each fish tasted fresh and not dry. Has salmon, oyster Rockefeller, sea scallops, shrimp, a crab cake with green beans. Both filing and done right. Others in our group had lamb, duck, grouper, chicken and all enjoyed it. Definitely made with fresh ingredients every day. I also think anything less the a 10 rating is not appropriate.“

“Billy kids/Maxwell‘s is one of the most family, friendly oriented restaurant that you could ever experience with amazing fix it yourself salad bar along with some amazing fresh made seafood, and steak sitting outside of that he has a bar as well with the most friendliest bartenders and regulars, along with the most magnificent owner you will ever come by the biggest heart and will give the shirts off his back to anyone needed. Please do not miss out and come visit Billy the kids/Maxwell bar“

“Decided to stop in at Harold’s for a quick refreshment after walking around up and down main street. Harold’s usually has a great crowd at night but this was early afternoon and only a few people were there at this time of day. The bartender was also the cook and handled things very nicely and was very kind and respectful. It was too late for lunch too early for dinner so we had a few cold drinks and moved on. It looks like a great weekend place or night time dance club. We’re not shaggers but we love the night time excitement. We will be returning. This place has been around for a long time and the locals love it. Give them a try. You’ll love it too.“
