“We never miss stopping here when we are in town. Portions are large and so so so good. Their sausage gravy will not disappoint. Oh and get a vanilla latte, you will thank me. The staff are so responsive and kind. It’s a great way to start your day. We love it !!!“
“My favorite coffee shop in Carolina Beach has always served beer and wine but now it’s expanded its upstairs into a craft-cocktail lounge called “Shag Bar” with a cool speakeasy vibe. Nicole, former owner and lead bartender at Shagri La, has done an incredible job creating an upscale experience right on the Carolina Beach boardwalk. Tastiest cocktails in CB!“
“Malama is our favorite coffee shop in Carolina Beach! We've visited several times over the last couple of years. Great tasting coffee. Not the burnt stuff you get other places. Breakfast options are great. Very filling burrito. Great place to grab coffee and then take a short walk to the boardwalk and beach.“
“5 stars for delicious, creamy, vegan gelato! It's hard to find places with good quality vegan ice cream treats (or any vegan options at all, for that matter) and I was really happy to have multiple choices here! I sampled peach and salted caramel, both amazing!! Ended up going with the salted caramel. Staff was friendly and quick despite it being a really busy night with the fireworks and whatnot.“
“We enjoyed lunch at this popular local coffee and sandwich shop with a lovely shaded outdoor courtyard.Order at the counter inside and choose a bag of chips or a banana with your sandwich on your way out to your table. They'll bring your order to you.We ordered the Chipotle Jack, which brought the heat in the best way on the most amazing fresh baguette. Our second sandwich was the Sweet Daddy's, since it's their number one best selling sandwich. The cranberry walnut chicken salad was perfectly made with very light mayo. The only disappointing thing was the menu said it was served on a lightly grilled pretzel bun, but it wasn't grilled. I would've chosen a wrap had I known. The setting is wonderful and I definitely want to return for Sunday brunch with live music and mimosas.Friendly service. A local told us this is the best place for breakfast sandwiches, coffee and chai tea, too.4.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“If you're in Wilmington, and you love donuts, you need to stop in. Or maybe you love great coffee? Yes, stop in. Bonus if you love both! So many to try! I had the cinnabomb with a large cappuccino! Pretty great start to the day, ignoring calories. Seriously, this place is great. I imagine you need to stop in early, before they sellout. We got there about 8:30 am - that worked. They did have a steady stream of customers!!!“
“This place is great if you want to stop in for a small bite to eat or a drink. I got a BLT, which was amazing and worth the price. The service was amazing, and the head of the place let us order food even though the kitchen was about to close, and was very kind to us. The atmosphere was very neat. All in all, I would highly recommend this coffee shop for lunch.“
“Christine at Side Street Bakery was amazing to work with for my recent wedding. She did the cutest cupcakes and a wonderful small cake to go on top. We also had her provide us with cookies for our family and out of town friends dinner. Interestingly, many of my guests who asked where our cake came from did not know this bakery. I myself had only recently stumbled upon the business while out going all over Southport to sell ads for the Historical Society House tours booklet. Prior to this I had never been there either. I hope with this review and more on other social media that Christine's business gets better known.“
“Nice little coffee shop. The chai latte is good. It was pretty quiet when we got there, but as more people came in it definitely got louder. Though, the acoustics were good enough that I could still carry on a conversation as it got louder...and I'm hard of hearing. All in all I definitely recommend visiting this coffee shop.“
“Love the coffee and pastries here! We traveled over to Bald Head for the day and made two coffee runs. In the morning it was chilly, so we got hot drinks including the Funky Monkey and Grasshopper. The pastries were warm and super moist - we had the chocolate muffin and apple cinnamon scone. We drove our golf cart all the way across the island to East Beach to enjoy them and they were perfect! In the afternoon, it warmed up quite a bit so we got iced drinks including an Almond Joy and Vanilla Frap. The service was great, and we love the atmosphere inside. Definitely one of our favorite stops.“
“My favorite coffee shop on the island. A daily stop for me during every trip. So many locals come to spend time here and the coffee and food is made with love ??Kid-friendliness: Cutest little kids, play area with plenty of activities for the kiddos keep busy while parents enjoy a nice quiet cup of coffee & breakfast.“
“The food was really good and the latte was great. I got the banana foster latte and it was different but delicious. Now with the ordering they messed up our order twice. Once on the Açaí Bowl the first time they made it they put the hemp seeds (which come with it but I didn't want and asked not to have) instead of the nutella I asked to substitute it for. It all turned out ok but they should have gotten that in the first place. The second time was when my sister asked for a Chai Tea latte and they gave her a normal latte. Again not a big deal and fixable but still. Cute place. I would come back for the amazing food and coffee.“
“Great burgers, generous pours for drinks, the ability to park yourself at a picnic table feel the ocean breeze and watch the surf hit the sand below you. It has become a favorite spot of ours during what we affectionately call, the local's summer, when it's still warm enough to enjoy our wonderful beach town and not have to fight visitors for parking spots or tables.“
“We are visiting Carolina Beach this winter. This was our first time patronizing this coffee shop. The service we received from both Molly & Rita was outstanding. They were both so friendly and helpful ... even sharing suggestions for places to go in the area. It's unusual anywhere to meet such warm-hearted, kind and funny service folks. We truly appreciated their customer service that went above and beyond. The coffee was very good but it was the two of them that created such a phenomenal impression!“
“Now I found cool little coffee shop on my getaway to Carolina Beach. The cost was higher than Starbucks but the peanut butter patty and bombdigity drink were really good. But with the cost rising in this environment I could not drink here everyday. Still very nice coffee. ?“
