18 Best Coffee Shops near Bald Head Island

“We visited BHI this week and Mike's Bites was easily the MVP. Collectively our group of 4 consumed 56 hot dogs over four days and enjoyed the 56th as much as the first. Highly recommend the Tram and the Wipeout, but you can't go wrong anywhere on the menu. We had such an awesome experience, we got Mike to autograph our Mike's Bites shirts! Already can't wait to be back next year.“

“Sand Piper Coffee is the perfect summer stop on Bald Head Island! We tried the peach, strawberry, and wild berry smoothies—and every single one was delicious and refreshing. They also offer iced coffees and ice cream, making it a great little spot for everyone. It’s the ideal place to cool off and relax while waiting for the ferry. We’ll definitely be back!“

“What a delightful experience. Espresso was good and punchy. I love the kid-friendly service. Thank you!

Kid-friendliness: They offered the hot chocolate at kid temperature. Nice subtle touch for a gentle start to the morning!“

“I didn’t really like donuts until I came here. Best donuts ever! And you can make your own. I would highly recommend their donuts! And the lady who helped us (she has a doodle) was super friendly. We will be back anytime we are in town!“

“Great Monte Cristo but I ordered chili and cheese fries with it and they sent them covered in sour cream and jalapeño’s, sadly I was not able to eat them. 😞“

“great coffee hot or cold.. great staff also..“

“The best coffee! Their banana bread drink is the BEST! ❤️☕️“

“Cozy atmosphere and yummy coffee! Highly recommend 💛“

“Very nice coffee house. Excellent coffee and muffins. Breakfast sandwiches are only fair, and cannot compete with Starbacks. However, PCJ has superior coffee.“

“Have been going to the Bolivia location the last 2 days since their opening (my kids LOVE the frozen hot chocolate before school)- the staff is SO exceptional and nice. This morning I was in a hurry and didn’t realize that I didn’t get the second muffin I ordered, I didn’t worry to call and let them know but within 10 minutes I had a notification that they had refunded me the blueberry muffin I didn’t receive. Most places would not have bothered. Because of this they will continue to have my business! ❤️“

“They have the best coffee and tea around. The owner is the sweetest and is so helpful! I look forward to coming here every year!“

“⚠️ ‼️Staff needs to be trained on service animal laws and etiquette, most specifically the middle aged brunette woman working the register 🍩The donuts were AMAZING, we didn’t eat any bagels but they looked freshly made and delicious, same for the avacado toast Coffee honestly taste the same no matter what style you get or how many pumps of syrup you request. ☕️“

“I had an amazing iced pecan crunch oat latte made with care by Khristina Lewis, I believe
it also had protein and blonde espresso in it.
I absolutely loved it and khristian was amazing as I expressed I was exhausted had an early morning meeting and this drink hit the spot perfectly for my day. Definitely will be getting this again! Thank you so much to the early morning staff on Tuesday 10-07-2025! Y’all Rock“
