“The service here was outstanding, the man who was walking around chatting and helping everyone went above and beyond. The coffee is amazing, and the bagels were the best I’ve ever had, which is saying a lot because I’m from the northeast. Highly recommend! :)“
“So good, I’m from lake Norman and I’m always worried about trying new coffee spots because I’m a little picky but he helped me find a kind with everything I would possibly like in the coffee and it was so good. I been going back every day almost just for his coffee. His coffee is better than the kind in Lake Norman NC. You must go to them it’s the best coffee around.“
“Small coffee shop located on the pier at Oak Island. Nice selection of both hot and cold drinks. Merchandise selection to choose from as well. I had a vanilla latte. Once I got out on the pier and tried I realized immediately it was lacking vanilla so I took it back inside. The issue was remedied and the drink then tasted amazing.“
“We have been coming to Oak Island for the 5 years. Why, I never walked into this amazing place, I don't know. “Not going to lie, I've never been here. I found the frequent flier card in my son's Captain Underpants Book this evening and looked this place up. They get 5 stars for only requiring 6 visits to receive a free scoop or cup, i have always had to get 10. However, if I do make it out to Oak Island, I'm going to get the mudslide, it looks great.“

“This was our first trip out here to BSL and we finally stopped in for a drink! I was surprised that they offered a flavored Matcha Tea Latte, PEACH! So good! My wife got the 50 lakes latte and loved it!Thank you guys for the great experience!Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten free snacks.Kid-friendliness: The outside seating is somewhat gated so it’s super easy to let the kids walk around.“
“We never miss stopping here when we are in town. Portions are large and so so so good. Their sausage gravy will not disappoint. Oh and get a vanilla latte, you will thank me. The staff are so responsive and kind. It’s a great way to start your day. We love it !!!“
“Walked a mile there and a mile back for the iced coffee and cheese danish! I walked the first day and got the butter rum iced coffee with the coffee cubes. Second time I walked got the brown sugar cinnamon with the cheese danish, the nice lady asked if I wanted it heated and drizzled with icing, so I did. It was good, but I prefer a room temp danish. Lovely little spot that hit the spot. Drank my coffee on my walk back. You order inside and then pick up outside.“

“Christine at Side Street Bakery was amazing to work with for my recent wedding. She did the cutest cupcakes and a wonderful small cake to go on top. We also had her provide us with cookies for our family and out of town friends dinner. Interestingly, many of my guests who asked where our cake came from did not know this bakery. I myself had only recently stumbled upon the business while out going all over Southport to sell ads for the Historical Society House tours booklet. Prior to this I had never been there either. I hope with this review and more on other social media that Christine's business gets better known.“
