This is my favorite restaurant in Kernersville with no question about it! The food is always incredible, the staff is so friendly and I eat from here at least 1-2 times a week. Every dish Ive tried is delicious as well, its never a miss.
Their delivery is also great as they dont skip on portions like many restaurants do for take out and delivery.
I highly recommend Monte De Rey to anyone in the area
I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! The food was amazing, the service was impeccable (Christopher was so friendly and did not miss a beat with the salsa and drink refills). I would venture to say this is probably the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. So glad we stumbled upon it on our way home from vacation. We will definitely make this a regular food stop on our trips to NC!
Food was delicious & really good prices. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well! Highly recommend!

Monte De Rey Mexican Restaurant offers excellent, delicious, and well-presented food with a great variety of selections. The shrimp is described as very yummy and juicy, and the mojito as the best one. The customer service is superb, although there have been some concerns about slow service on busy days. The portions are huge, making it a great spot for comfort Mexican food. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the servers are kind-hearted, providing complimentary desserts like strawberry sopapilla bites. Guests have enjoyed dishes like the steak & shrimp, onion and cheese fajita plate, and the Quesabirria, while also appreciating the extensive menu and various salsas available.
