“We have been twice since we discovered them on Yelp a month ago and plan on going a whole lot more. Let me start with their excellent salad bar. It is always clean and everything on it is super fresh with many choices. The first time we went we got the onion rings as an appetizer, ribeye, mashed potatoes and the salad bar. The ribeye was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of smokiness and seasoned just right. The mashed potatoes were to die for...definitely homemade. The onion rings were crispy and delicious, not greasy like some that I have had. And, their sweet tea was on point. The second time we went we got the same sides, because why mess with perfection, but we got the sauteed large shrimp. They were absolutely amazing. My husband said they were the best he's ever had. They were seasoned just right and not overcooked like some places do. I had lemonade this time and it was very refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. They also bring out a basket of hush puppies with your meal and they are awesome too! Most everyone we've encountered there is friendly and helpful. The young, dark haired girl at the register isn't overly friendly, but I understand as some people are shy and not very talkative. Everyone else made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is very inviting. We can't wait to go back, which will probably be this weekend! Update: We returned again on Saturday night and the food, again was excellent. The service, not so much. It started very rocky and we were on the verge of walking out after sitting there at least 15 minutes without being acknowledged. The young, not so friendly girl that's usually at the register saw us come in, she was refilling drinks and servicing other tables which is understandable as they were somewhat busy. But, when she finished, she went back to the register and stood there, made eye contact with me several times, but never approached and ask for our drink order. Thank goodness for the waitress that finally approached us after some kind people told her that we had been sitting there for a while. She apologized profusely and offered us a free appetizer(per the owner). We ordered the mozzarella sticks and they were outstanding...the best I've ever had. And, from then on through our meal she treated us like superstars! Thank you Heather for your attentiveness and kindness. Heather made up for the lack luster behavior from the young girl at the register. This is the only reason my review went from 5 stars to 4 stars. We will continue to go back because the food is excellent.“
