“The buttermilk pancakes are very large and very good according to our menfolk. One added a side of ham, nice portion and quite tasty. Hubby added bacon. I had the meat lovers omelette, even without toast I got comfortably full, loads of meat! SIL had the veggie omelette and shared that ham slice. Coffee was 'alright'. Now, if the waitress would take our order instead of walking by to greet regulars, ....but the cook was quick once we got our order in. Oh, hubby's extra egg was cooked just right. Kudos to the cook. -and the plant caretaker.“

“This place is a WOW! My brat was spectacular! The burgers, nachos, onion rings that the others had were raved about! The wonderful 17yr old that served us was over the top attentive. The portion sizes were amazing! We couldn't have asked for more! Thanks for a fabulous experience!“

“We stopped here on a road trip and ate on the patio because we had our puppy with us. Everyone was friendly and attentive even though we were the only ones sitting outside. The food was absolutely phenomenal, drinks were good, service was spot on and the building is gorgeous. It was such a cool place to stop and eat with a surprisingly good menu. We will definitely be stopping here the next time through, hopefully without the dog so that we can enjoy the warmth and ambience inside.“

“We spent the day driving the Sandhills Hghwy 2 through Nebraska ending up Sunday night in Broken Bow. We had little hope of a great meal. Most eateries were closed. In fact, at 7 pm, TripAdvisor even said Bonfire was closed but as we drove by we saw activity so in we went. It wasn't crowded and was a pleasant restaurant and bar. We each ordered glass of wine, a reasonable Cabernet and Pinot. We shared the salmon dinner with the veggie du jour and a baked potato. The fish was excellent and well cooked, the veggies lovely and the baked potato fine as well. It was a meal beyond our expectations for the evening. And we then completed dinner with a good creme brulee. Service was friendly but a bit spotty, but it hardly marred the meal“
