Seafood Restaurants in Crete, NE

“Truck driver here. I’ve been coming to Crete for the past six years. This was the first time trying out this place. I found the place to be pretty clean inside. The air did have a heavy fry oil smell, but they have a completely open kitchen you see as soon as you walk in. I feel like the transparency of food preparation outweighs the smell.

I ordered: Mongolian beef w fried rice combo
Kung po chicken w white rice combo
Small hot and sour soup

The egg rolls were good. Nothing too impressive or wow about them. Both rices were perfect! The Mongolian beef was the best I ever had! The beef is tender, onions are perfectly medium cooked, and it’s not swimming in sauce. The kung po chicken is really good (it does need a touch of black vinegar, but it has the Szechuan peppercorn numbness which I rarely find). The hot and sour soup is perfectly vinegary and peppery. I do wish it had mushrooms in it though.

The lady took my order. Just an average interaction. It was $27.14 for all that. I left an extra $5. I’m glad I did. I called back after I tried everything and told the guy “thank you. Everything tastes great!” He seemed to really appreciate the me calling him to say that.“
