“No food, just cocktails, but it was just what I was hoping for when I came in. A craft cocktail bar with a great decorative theme and relaxed, chill vibe, and of course the cocktails did not disappoint. I had a cocktail called the Venom, which was nice change of pace and contained some complex notes complementing the bourbon. Spherical clear ice is a nice touch, little things like that elevate the drink, and the experience. Great place to go for drinks!“

“Laka Lono is one of my favorite "hidden" bars to stop at while I'm visiting Omaha. I'm allergic to Pineapple and Coconut (most of the menu) and the bartender went above and beyond to recommend a drink I could have and took extra care while preparing it. 10/10 recommend this cool little spot!“

“The fortunate son cocktail was really good! I enjoyed the banana. There’s tons of different drink options including a huuuge cocktail menu. I will definitely come back and try the caffeinated cocktail menu. There’s typical bar snacks available, and a super cute photo booth! The staff was super nice and the patio is definitely dog friendly :)

“All the food was delicious. The drinks were on point! The fries are crispy, thin, salty, fluffy and delicious!! Macaroni and cheese was baked to perfection/ my daughter ate the leftovers and said it’s the best she’s had. My husband gave two thumbs up to the fried chicken bucket and he’s usually pretty picky about his fried chicken, so this is very positive! The chicken was served with a dish of blackened ranch dressing….YUM! we dipped the fries in the ranch…anything would taste good dipped in this dressing. I ate the vegan meatloaf sandwich with Texas toast grilled to crispy perfection, making this sandwich very delicious! What a surprise to have awesome vegan options on the menu…Thank you Fizzy’s! What makes this place even better is the atmosphere. The vibes in here are 50’s diner/bar and I love it, I mean, who doesn’t love a pink barstool??!! I will be back for the atmosphere and drinks, and I will need the fries again soon. My hubby’s vesper was expertly mixed. I had a mezcal drink from the pop-up, it was unique and tasty, served in a fun glass with a lovely marinated cherry garnish. 💕 LOVE

Vegetarian options: I had a vegan meatloaf sandwich. The Texas toast was perfectly crisp and delicious. The meatloaf was nutty, vegan mayo and bbq sauce topped it off well. Yum! This was a special dish offered on their pop-up menu.“

The first time I drank at the Interlude, I was a wee lad of 21 back in the year 2000, I only make it to this fine place every few years, but the only thing that had changed is the style of TV. I'm always dubious about trying a new pizza place because I am celiac and most smaller local places don't have an alternative other than a cauliflower crust. So, I was unbelievably impressed with their non cauliflower gluten free crust......it is the BEST gluten free crust that I've ever had! Staff is great and super polite and efficient. My wife and I were seated pretty quickly, since we arrived around 1pm. We ordered the churro waffles and I got the Bird's the Word. Our waitress, Paige, did a phenomenal job. She got our orders, water and refills very quickly. Great job Paige! Keep up the good work.

Maybe it was cause it was so busy or maybe some other reason, but our food took about 15 minutes to get to our table.

When it arrived, it was worth the wait. The churro waffles tasted exactly like churros. And the cream on top combined melted in the mouth.

The Bird's the word was also amazing. My wife tells me that it tasted smoky, but I couldn't tell. With the tomato bisque, this place has quickly become a great spot to visit for me. I'm curious as to what else they have to offer, so we'll be coming back to try something new.

I was apprehensive at first, because of some other reviews. But I'm starting to think they're fake. I don't know.

Parking: It's a short walk depending on how far you decide to park.

Kid-friendliness: It's a restaurant. I don't think this is the right venue to bring a screaming child.
