“Great top shelf food and drink in an old house in the middle of nowhere. We tried this because we were referred to it by a family member. Otherwise we never would have found the place. Glad we did find it. It really is in the middle of nowhere. The dining areas are nothing special--you either eat in the bar or at a high top in the main dining room but ovrall the place has a sports bar atmosphere. Nothing fancy. The menu, however, is very high-end as are the drink selections. We had the ceasar salad for an appetizer and the steak tips. Ceasar was excellent and the tips perfectly cooked. Great portions. The Dunks mushrooms were fantastic. We even had dessert, the chimichunga. Excellent. Sevice was flawless. A little pricey but would definitely go back despite the drive (for us anyhow). Note to Management: Covid is over and even my teen children dislike reading the menu on their phones. Print some menus and laminate them if you must. Also, thank you for disclosing the "non-cash surcharge" on the chalkboard as you walk in but maybe 50% of your customers register that and maybe 50% of those even know what it means. I'm sure not everyone notices the surcharge on their bill and I'm also sure 100% of diners hate junk fees. Call it what it is--a credit card fee. Better still, just raise your prices 3% and do away with it and give a 3% cash discount. That would sound sooo much better...“
“Love Keon's. The food is so yummy. They take ordinary meals that you might make at home but their spin on it is hard to compete with. Really tasty. Cozy ambiance. Plan ahead. Limited seating so be sure to try to get a reservation or get there early. Downtown Haverhill so parking can be a challenge. But worth the effort.“

“I stopped by Border Brewery today for some lunch and a beer. I got the brisket sandwich, a side of baked beans and a pint of their strawberry wheat ale and all three did not disappoint. The food was very flavorful and some of my favorite BBQ I’ve had up north. The beer was light and refreshing without being too fruity. My only regret is I didn’t have a bigger stomach to try the whole menu, but I will definitely be making the drive back from Boston for seconds! Cheese quesidilla with just sour cream and pico seemed too much for something very basic.Maybe some better dessert choices? They don't make them in house so I didn't get any which is a bummer, because I love desserts. “Hubs and I have been here a few times over the years. We decided Friday to meet a friend for lunch. Low key ambiance, its like a home broken up into different dining rooms. Upstairs is more open like a tavern or bar. Friday we were sat in a cozy small dining room area. We opted to start with the combo platter and crab cakes. Everything was crispy, hot, and seasoned well. It came with many dipping sauces plated cutely on a beer flight board. The crab cakes were fat and sweet with the delicious crab. Hubs had the Reuben sandwich, which was packed with meat. My friend and I opted for the special cheeseburger salad. When described, it sounded terrific. What was served could have been much better. While it was huge, it lacked ease of eating and flavor. It was served in a massive bowl with large pieces of lettuce, and on top was a cheeseburger patty layered with onions and cheese and a smidge of aioli. It made it extremely hard to eat. Even though the salad was disappointing, the other food service and ambiance will surely bring us back!“
