“Stopped here for dinner while visiting family in NH. WOW. The service was fantastic. Jada was our server and she was so kind and accommodating to our group. The food was amazing as well. We visited on Valentine’s Day so not only was the space decorated and the staff dressed up but all of the women in the restaurant were gifted red roses and chocolate covered strawberries — so classy. There was also live music, a country singer playing guitar who was so fun. The experience at Poor House was 10/10, thank you!”

“Great little cafe with creative sweet or savory scones. My cortado was just how I like it. I don't often see such a nice lever machine for the espresso.There's only a little seating but it doesn't seem to run out. you might rather browse the greenhouse or the farm store. Also u-pick blueberries when in season.I'll definitely stop by when I'm in the area again.”

“Fantastic fried chicken. Fresh, juicy, well-seasoned, and KRUNCHY! Located in the back of a convenience store, the chicken kiosk is worth the stop. The owners are super nice to boot.

The convenience store is also good and has a selection of wine and beer to wash down that tasty chicken.”

It's the full package - a lovely pastoral setting, the type of personalized service you get when the owners are actively involved with the service, and straightforward but delicious meals prepared by a classically trained chef who won't settle for anything less than the best ingredients. “Best pizza in the area. Specialty pizzas are tasty. I do ‘build your own’ style. Cauliflower crust pizzas are good too. Salads are good. Sandwiches are great. Pulled pork is my go-to. Hot dogs- also a tasty treat. Took my family there to dine in one time. Everyone was happy with the food, service and atmosphere. I’d say it’s kid friendly as well. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!”

“Great restaurant located right on three lake. Seafood, burgers, salads, and other options. For dessert ice cream and milkshakes. Charming place with a lot of history. If you have a boat you can also dock directly at the restaurant and walk right in. Highly recommend!”
