“What a delightful place next door to the Exeter Amtrak station. This small cafe is a mom-and-pop style shop with delicious staples like corn beef hash, omelettes, and eggs Benedict. Frequented by locals and visitors alike, this cafe is a gem, still seeped in the charm of diners of yore.Service is warm and inviting: as soon as you walk in, you are made to feel right at home. Old train schedules adorn the walls, reminding you of railway history from decades ago. Trackside Cafe is a must-visit if you find yourself in Exeter!“
“Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free & dairy free options. While they last because it's first come first serve basis. They get a limited supply throughout the week. On the weekends they get donuts delivered from Lovebirds! That is also very much first come first serve. Lovebirds are a dedicated vegan donut shop. They also make vegan gluten free donuts ? which I love and go for. The Phillips Exeter Academy students get the donuts and goodies very early so if you want the most selection I would suggest getting there for opening or like a hour after. (They open @ 8am)“
“Excellent bakery and lunch menu. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, too. Can’t say enough about the friendly staff! This is definitely a local favorite. There’s a line most times, but it goes quickly.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options“
“Kudos to the chef for creating such yummy dishes! My favorites are Key Lime Smoothie Bowl (seasonal), Cashew Caesar (sub GF bread) and Falafel Mediterranean. They are very respectful of food allergies, which I appreciate. I love the fresh, tasty ingredients...just be prepared to pay a bit more. Exeter location is usually quite busy and seating is limited. In warmer months, outdoor space helps alleviate seating issue. Head over to beautiful, new, spacious Portsmouth location for more elbow room.“
“After a long trip traveling from Long Island Bahamas, we were cold and hungry. Stopped in and Lola was so welcoming, made me and my daughter Isabella (9 years old) feel right at home. Isabella who is usually quiet, chatted with Lola the entire time she prepared our food. We had a lamb gyro, chicken shawarma and chicken nuggets.. everything was great. Will definitely be back. Thanks Lola?“
“Great burgers, dogs, and fries. The lady running the place and cooking is very friendly. Never had a bad bite here - there are other things I want to try, but everything I've had is so good that I don't want to miss a chance to eat it when I'm there.Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly, cool stuff for them to look at, but no touching the toys/comics on the wall“
“Food was great! I had the spinach, pesto, & egg breakfast sandwich and a smoothie - both were delicious and fresh and I felt so good after. Friendly staff, quick service, great size & atmosphere to meet up with friends/family or to enjoy on your own!Parking: Spots in the front & back“
“Discreetly nestled away in downtown Amesbury, Wise House is definitely not your run of the mill coffee shop. If you’re looking for a modern, bright and airy coffee shop with bubbly baristas, this is not the place for you. But if you like a coffee shop with character, a little bit of sass, and great coffee, I highly recommend Wise House. We tried the chocolate rain, which was absolutely delicious and enjoyed the spunk the barista and decor of the shop has to offer.“
“Update 2 years later: I can't boast enough about Ginger and Clove. We have returned many times since my original review. We love this place, it has housed many sweet breakfast, brunch and lunch moments for my family and we will continue to frequent. If you haven't been here you are missing out, you NEED to experience the food and atmosphere at least once in your life. This restaurant is an amazing addition to our community! I brought my son for his kindergarten graduation. My waitress noticed his excitement and made sure to match that while interacting with him. Not only was the service amazing the food was beyond my expectations! This place radiates positivity. I will be back with my family!“
“Quick, friendly service. Pleasant, sunlit ambience. Full menu, covering breakfast and lunch, with all the classics one would expect to see at a diner, plus some unique twists..the flavor to their brand, if you will. All very tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by having a side option of baked beans to go with my breakfast platter. Sizeable portions. And very reasonable prices- eggs, bacon, sausage, 1 side, and 2 French toast (or pancakes), + coffee - less than $20 (before tip). Also super easy to get to with tons of parking right across the street.“

“Stopped by here on our drive down to Boston on our way to the airport (driving down from seacoast area New Hampshire). Delightful spot to stop for a meal, and to see the animals. Prepared food and market goods. Prepared food was pretty good, no one is in a rush here so don't stop if you can't spare the time. They also have espresso drinks.Vegetarian options: Some.Dietary restrictions: Few.Parking: Free lot.Kid-friendliness: Oh my yes! Food AND farm animals.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.“
“Stopped by for lunch and the paninis were great. This was a great spot to get something to eat and get a drink. We left pretty refreshed. My wife is picky about chai and she loved it. My iced coffee was everything you'd want in a medium roast. There were a variety of sweetener options. Wifi was available and the bathroom was clean. The staff were friendly. My K2 kept saying it was the best lunch ever (chips helped get that review). We were in Feb but I can see the outdoor space working well when it's warmer.“
“I explained that I wanted a lazy susan made out of a used red wine barrel and I provided a list of the wine regions that I have visited. They provided a piece of art that is mind blowing. Everyone who has seen it is extremely impressed. They were great to work with and delivered by the date that they promised.“
“All I can say is yummmmmmmy!! Cajun chicken sandwich is to die for. Unfortunately because of covid they had to get rid of the salad bar, but they still make killer salads. The staff is friendly and the food is awesome. You definitely need to try this place“
“Soooooo cute in here! I love the vibe and the decorations. The coffee was amazing and the hot chocolate! Great pricing I think it is all very reasonable and affordable. If you are a Starbucks fan but want the hometown feel and are in the neighborhood come here! The service was great as well very friendly and welcoming. Will be back as much as possible while me and my wife are here!“
“Went to get a piece of my favorite dessert to celebrate my birthday ( total chocolate experience) a day late, but so what.Discovered they had popovers w/ maple butter and a delicious maple nut crunch coffee, so I bought one of each. They turned on the fireplace for me and it was the perfect way to start my day. I was thete at 7:30 a.m.I definitely enjoyed my " birthday cake" for dessert later that day.Great place to go when your sweet tooth is calling your name!“
“I love this place. The doughnuts are incredible. Fresh, flaky, delicate, perfect. The coffee is above average and reasonably priced. Very balanced cup, even black.Expect a short wait while they make your doughnuts fresh. So worth it!Dietary restrictions: Good for people with nut allergies!Wheelchair accessibility: Drive thru only, so you should be fine.“
“We had breakfast here twice last week during our stay in Hampton Beach. We were fortunate enough to have a lovely waitress named Mira both days. She was polite, engaging and efficient. Food was delicious and portions were very generous. Highly recommend and if you go ask for Mira, she was“
“Wednesday afternoon about 1:30. Friendly, cordial staff took our sandwich order and brought it upstairs for us. Very comfortable place. Fresh, high quality ingredients. Pulled pork. Brisket. Both very good. Choice of 4 soups along the wall. 3 sizes. Ladle your own. Excellent. Front dining room is just as comfortable as upstairs. WE WILL RETURN“
“First time here! It was amazing! Met some really fun people and connected with some furry kitties! The staff is amazing, they take food allergies seriously and made me a fresh hot chocolate to ensure I was safe. Which was delicious by the way!!! The cats are so well loved!! They also had crafts made by local artists which were just beautiful! 100% would go again! This is also the puurrrfect place for some R&R. Excellent spot!!!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating with food allergies.“
“Just had lunch again today, the food and service are excellent as usual. I am new to town but Laura, our host knew my name after a couple visits. Not crowded but busy and promptly served. This where local people come for pastry, breakfast, a quick lunch and coffee in a comfortable but not fancy setting. The clientele is drawn from the business community or from adjacent Philips Exeter Academy. Today, an artist was hanging some of her creations. . Exeter is a trendy town with a great variety or restaurants, some catering to people who want to dine on the village's array of diverse but pricey culinary options. St. Anthony's is where you go for g great affordable meal or takeout a very informal, low-key, part bakery, part eatery. Closes at 2 and by then most of the fresh baked goods are gobbled up, but drop in the next day for something or the previous day's scarce day old bread, muffins and cookies at a discount. Anthony was busy in the kitchen today but he usually comes out to chat with customers, many of whom seem to be regulars. He is definitely a people person and, a warning, a Yankee fan in Red Sox world. His eatery is strictly a breakfast and lunch place. Closed on Sunday and Monday and Good Friday. We usually have the soup of the day. and are devoted to the Thanksgiving sandwich, a retro specially for those of us who crave ia post-feast favorite, year-round: a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich. Also like the "moots" and tomato' sandwich. Prices are the best we have encountered in this picture-book village.“
