“Update 2 years later: I can't boast enough about Ginger and Clove. We have returned many times since my original review. We love this place, it has housed many sweet breakfast, brunch and lunch moments for my family and we will continue to frequent. If you haven't been here you are missing out, you NEED to experience the food and atmosphere at least once in your life.This restaurant is an amazing addition to our community! I brought my son for his kindergarten graduation. My waitress noticed his excitement and made sure to match that while interacting with him. “Nice little spot to get morning coffee and a bite. Mostly kids working, but they keep the line moving and are very friendly.Got a "chi-chi" bagel, which was much spicier than I expected, and tasty. Next day I got a "townie" mixed platter that was delicious.Coffee is decent, and lots of varieties to choose from.Prices and portions very reasonable, and there is outdoor picnic benches as well as indoor seating.Definitely recommend if you are looking for quick service and not looking to spend a lot.“

“Went to get a piece of my favorite dessert to celebrate my birthday ( total chocolate experience) a day late, but so what.Discovered they had popovers w/ maple butter and a delicious maple nut crunch coffee, so I bought one of each.They turned on the fireplace for me and it was the perfect way to start my day. I was thete at 7:30 a.m.I definitely enjoyed my " birthday cake" for dessert later that day.Great place to go when your sweet tooth is calling your name!“

“I cannot say enough about how happy I was that Popovers was closed on Tuesday. My wife and I were originally intending on going there, and needed to find an alternative. We stumbled upon Elephantine. Wow! We walked into this charming little cafe and were transported to Paris. The products looked delicious, and we soon found out that they didn’t only look delicious. The young lady, who was serving us, was exceptionally friendly and added to our pleasure. We ordered a yogurt, with, as I can recall, a pistachio, brittle granola, sliced fruit, honey and so on. We also wanted to just try some of their bread in toast form so I asked if we could order something that wasn’t on the menu. We just ordered some sourdough bread and wanted to have it with butter and jelly. The server promptly made it happen. The food was delivered and all of it was prepared at a very high level. Everything was not only prepared well in terms of ingredients and quality of the food, but it was also cooked/displayed nicely. The medley of food, atmosphere, and music made for the nicest breakfast I have had in a long time. We would recommend this shining star to anyone! The Elephantine is top notch!“
“Coffee was pretty good, but it wasn't really "traditional" Turkish coffee. They just poured boiling water over finely ground coffee in the cup they served it in. To charge $3.5 (plus tax + tip) for that is silly. Those who know how to really make a Turkish coffee where cold water and grounds are brought to a boil on a hot surface, know that it takes time and careful attention to make sure it doesn't bubble over, it's not over-extracted, etc. I wouldn't care so much if they didn't have a sign that literally says they make it the traditional way (should have taken a photo to post here). It comes in a nice cup and with a sweet marshmallow-like treat, which is a nice touch. The interior is cool and they have some traditional snacks that are really good. I'd maybe try a drip coffee or something else if I go here again, but I'd skip the "traditional Turkish coffee" unless they start making it properly.“

My personal favorite is the Taro Milk Tea with Lychee Pearls, but their tea pumps are also worth a try. If you’re looking for a modern, bright and airy coffee shop with bubbly baristas, this is not the place for you. The service is excellent both the waiters and waitresses are excellent and friendly. Exeter is a trendy town with a great variety or restaurants, some catering to people who want to dine on the village's array of diverse but pricey culinary options. St. Anthony's is where you go for g great affordable meal or takeout a very informal, low-key, part bakery, part eatery. Closes at 2 and by then most of the fresh baked goods are gobbled up, but drop in the next day for something or the previous day's scarce day old bread, muffins and cookies at a discount. Anthony was busy in the kitchen today but he usually comes out to chat with customers, many of whom seem to be regulars. He is definitely a people person and, a warning, a Yankee fan in Red Sox world. His eatery is strictly a breakfast and lunch place. Closed on Sunday and Monday and Good Friday. We usually have the soup of the day. and are devoted to the Thanksgiving sandwich, a retro specially for those of us who crave ia post-feast favorite, year-round: a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwich. Also like the "moots" and tomato' sandwich. Prices are the best we have encountered in this picture-book village.“

“Stopped by for lunch and the paninis were great. This was a great spot to get something to eat and get a drink. We left pretty refreshed. My wife is picky about chai and she loved it. My iced coffee was everything you'd want in a medium roast. There were a variety of sweetener options. Wifi was available and the bathroom was clean. The staff were friendly. My K2 kept saying it was the best lunch ever (chips helped get that review). We were in Feb but I can see the outdoor space working well when it's warmer.“

On the weekends they get donuts delivered from Lovebirds! That is also very much first come first serve. Lovebirds are a dedicated vegan donut shop. They also make vegan gluten free donuts ? which I love and go for. The Phillips Exeter Academy students get the donuts and goodies very early so if you want the most selection I would suggest getting there for opening or like a hour after. (They open @ 8am)“

“After a long trip traveling from Long Island Bahamas, we were cold and hungry. Stopped in and Lola was so welcoming, made me and my daughter Isabella (9 years old) feel right at home. Isabella who is usually quiet, chatted with Lola the entire time she prepared our food. We had a lamb gyro, chicken shawarma and chicken nuggets.. everything was great. Will definitely be back.
