No food beyond bagged chips, but you are welcome to bring your own. Small space with bar and table seating. Glad to go back in the future.”

“I think the soul of great food is in the flavor. And today i had the best, most soulful taco experience in my whole, long life. The Tacos De Choripollo Plate. Honestly an 11 on a scale of 1-10. Complex and masterfull plate of 3 packed servings of slow-cooked pollo and chorizo tacos. Juicy, meaty, tangy, aromatic, and bountiful flavor That and the corn chowder with a touch of heat, a bit of lime and jalapeño. Combined with an amazing and friendly staff. A beautiful family. This establishment is the rarest of the rare. What an experience!”

So not the place to go with a friend or family to socialize and have a bite to eat. Been there often enough to conclude. Other than that very excellent service, clean piping hot food! Recommended.”

“Passed by here a few times on the way to the lake and made a point to stop as I read they had award winning wings. Glad we did, and they were right! The wings are incredible and have an array of sauces one of which is the " I double dog dare you boo boo which the name speaks for itself... HOT! but that's what i was looking, if you seek out hot wings like me this is your place. Needless to say wings are a MUST. Got the scallop and burnt end app which was incredible, honestly the best scallops iv had. Also got the korean tacos that were lights out. This tavern puts out some seriously good food and it shows. Somewhat open style kitchen which was great you can see them back there certainly committed to their craft. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, would have stayed longer if we could but will be back for sure. Thank you very much for the great hospitality!”

“This is my most favorite go-to restaurant for my winter birthday, and Saturday 2.11, the Mile Away was perfection...cozy & warm from the fireplaces, every table was full, wonderful smells of comfort food, and the staff was so welcoming. We both ordered the NY steak with all the courses but a few minutes later we were told there was only one NY left so we changed one meal to the filet. Moments later we were told there was no NYs left so changed again to the Porterhouse steak....no problem at all bc both meals were amazing and our server was kind, attentive and made us feel like we were the only ones dining and she leisurely served us each course at our pace. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, everything was excellent. There isn't a thing I would change about the Mile Away bc they deliver an amazing dining experience every time. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“We found this place on our way out of New Hampshire. What a great place! We come up every year and stay at Lake Shore Village in Weare, NH. In one lucky stop, this became our go to place when leaving for home! The food was awesome, the server was fabulous (I wish I remembered her name). She was so attentive and super sweet! We all agreed she has a great personality, perfect for the job! Thanks for a great experience all around!
