“This is one my favorite spots in Portsmouth. They have onsite parking which is a determinant at times. I frequent here and have never been disappointed.. The menu changes with the seasons, which keeps the choices fresh and exciting. The craft cocktails are clever and delicious. Try the Cloister! Sometimes I stop in just for a drink and a snack, but I live getting a many courses and going all out. The agnolotti seems to be a constant, and it’s a must order every visit. During the winter months, my all time favorite is the cassoulet. This has one of the best flavor profiles I’ve ever tasted. I’m not kidding. Don’t forget to order the soufflé in advance for a delectable and interactive experience. Great service, food and atmosphere. You can’t go wrong here.“

We both chose the seafood fettuccine, which was heavenly - incredible pasta and sauce topped with succulent seafood. Desserts were lavender creme brulee and white chocolate cake...Holy cow! Dinner and service were both top-notch.. and we can't wait to return!“

“Great service, we were met with a smile at the door. Had a fabulous meal! One of our party has to eat gluten free due to her food allergy. The staff was knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions. Not only did I feel safe about no cross contamination, the gluten free food was fantastic! We had Appetizers, entrée and dessert. (The Gluten free Beignets were out of this world) Please make them a permanent item on the menu! Good portions, even left with boxes of leftovers. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back! “Fox's Lobster House 9-6-25 We had to stop by this Lobster house for the Lobster. The lady that greeted us at the front was very friendly and answered any questions we had about this place as it was our first time there. She stated you want to sit upstairs as the views were much better. The views from upstairs were spectacular with the Ocean and Lighthouse in the background just amazing. They do have an outside Patio for dining which is rather large with shading for all to enjoy that kind of atmosphere. Now let's get to the food. I ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder, and my wife ordered a cup of Lobster Bisque for appitizers. We both ordered the Fox's Favorite Lighthouse Dinner which had 1.5-pound Lobster, Corn on the Cob with Baked Potato. Our soup came out first, it was hot and very tasty, mine was packed with clams. This had to be the best New England Clam Chowder I ever had. In fact, it was so good I did not want to share it with my lovely wife. She stated her Lobster Bisque was fantastic also. The Corn on the Cob and Baked Potato was also good, but the star of the dinner was the Soup and Lobster. Everything was hot, tasty and with the great service provided by Stella we just loved this place, and my bet is you will also. You must stop by here not only for a great dinner but the spectacular views and a visit to the Lighthouse right next door. “Great view when sitting outside. The food was tasty but not to die for. My fries had good seasoning, but they were a tad cold. The crab cake sandwich had bacon on it and a great texture. Also, the waitress was friendly and prompt at serving us.“
