“We enjoyed our dinner. Service was good. Ambiance could be stellar if they got rid of the overhead lights! It is not a romantic or relaxing atmosphere with bright lights. The fireplace, white tablecloths and candles on the table were great.“

“What a wonderful new find... there was a sandwich that was a Moutain meaurement... 2369' or something that was awesome! Marbled rye with Pastrami, caramelized onions, cheese and thousand island dressing... really good! and staff are great. Patty was our waitress and very friendly and helpful with local information!
Hey Patty is still there and awesome! Tried the Chowda and grilled ceaser salad. Very good!“

“Stopped in on a Tuesday for a few drinks and a meal. Was promptly seated and waiter greeted us not long after. We got our drinks within a few minutes which were great and out food not long after. Drinks-Seadog/Shipyard exclusives, not bad. IPA was delicious. Wife liked her expresso martini but likes her Hazelnut Stout even more. It was tasty. All in all, a great experience and will gladly return.“

“Bouillabaisse was exquisite and the duck was perfect. We canceled our breakfast plans for the next morning so we could go back and try more of their delicious food. I can’t imagine a scenario where we’re in the area and don’t eat here. Looking forward to returning to Mt Washington Valley, if for no better reason than to return to this wonderful restaurant. We spent 4 nights in the area and White Mountain Cider Co was by far the best food we had. This is what food is supposed to taste like.“

“We have stayed here probably four times. Each time with children, this last time with our dog. We have stayed in air BNB’s, motels, and five star all inclusive resorts. For a classic New England experience, while seeing the sights in New Hampshire, I would 💯 recommend this hotel. The positives: Authentic historic charm, literally jumping out of a Currier and Ives print. As you drive up the hill to the entrance, you literally feel like you are going back in time. There is a large front porch with dramatic views of the mountains, and a well kept golf course. The staff is genuine, friendly, down to earth, and accommodating. The food in the restaurant and the drinks are well made, and delicious— I would categorize the offerings as more “comfort” food: think tender lamb falling into mashed potatoes. The negatives: (Not a negative for some, but maybe for others…..) It’s old, (hence historical designation). If you don’t want to stay in an old hotel, this is not for you. We like old, some people don’t. 🤷♂️ (Like - they still use real keys, and the windows have wavy glass….the elevator is a museum piece. It was functional when we were there- definitely neat/out of a movie.) If you want modern/spa chain hotel-this is not for you If you want authentic New England charm, gracious hospitality, in a grand building from a bygone era this is for you.“

“The bartender and head chef were amazing and very accommodating. Food was great, definitely get the angus burger if you’re a meat person. Chicken wings were great too! The only flaw I would say is the atmosphere but from what they have to work with, being in a hotel lobby, I’d say they’re doing great.
10/10 on the food and drink.“
