Bulgoki, pork Bulgoki cus it’s spicy yum yum, Kalbi, MapaTofu! I’m gonna be straight with you no one can buy my word or my tongue. I’m a marine stationed in Okinawa for 2 years got the taste for this stuff so you really wanna spoil your taste buds get these too! Unagi Donburi, Hanover roll, Dartmouth roll, Tuck Circle slaps sooo HARD BRAHHH! Green monster roll, Karate, Dragon & Caterpillar roll are all slappy dappy! Also any sushi with Unagi is gonna be peak flavortown! If your passionate about food, flavor then highly recommend 10/10 come to Yama (Young’s) Restaurant for the most authentic Korean & Japanese food in the Upper Valley & probably all of New England! The people who work the sushi station are always friendly and if the have the ingredients avail are more than willing to make up a particular entree if you don't see it or if you have a food allergy and cannot it the item the way it is prepared in the case.”

“We went towards the end of what was probably a very long first day for these workers and one of the out of state workers here for the big opening (we asked- she’s from GA) had to clean up an unfortunate spill my daughter had with her drink. We jokingly said how maybe she was the first person to spill at the West Lebanon Jersey Mike’s, trying to make her feel better about her accident. The woman cleaned it right up with a great attitude and then came back a moment later and let our girl write her name on a sandwich bag and told us she would hang it up out back so she could be “famous.” It was a really cute moment and made her feel better! “Found this unassuming restaurant / take out place on our ski trip. It’s hidden in the Mobile gas station, but is very clean and friendly. For a small take-out place, it carries a very ambitious menu, with several authentic Chinese dishes and a big sushi roll menu. All the food we ordered tasted great with good portion. A true hidden jam.”

“My husband and I stayed at the hotel due to an extended power outage in our town. We checked into the hotel and ran into friends from our town doing the same. We met for drinks in the bar and it was fine. We had the breakfast buffet in the morning and it offered all of the basics. It was quick and hot.”

“If you're in the area craving hand tossed NY style thin crust pizza it's def worth a visit. Ambiance is casual, typical bar/order at the counter service. But has plenty of seating and parking. I've only ordered the pizza, but it's quite good. There are sufficient veggie topping options available, albeit a little pricey (upcharge for non-dairy cheese). Offers a veggie burger, but haven't tried. Also makes calzones and strombolis so maybe can omit the ricotta? Typical limited beverage selection. Service is friendly and fast. “The customer service at this location exceeds expectations. They are the friendliest staff in the upper valley and that’s including the local shops. I’d rather go without caffeine than to go anywhere else. And to know a shop actually cares about the customer and their order is just mind blowing in this day and age. Thank you guys so much!”

“The young man working the drive-thru on Fri April 11th has the patience of a Saint! I over explained a request because it was 4:30am and I was sure I didn't say it right, I got to the window and realized I forgot to order one of my drinks, AND I dropped a straw on the ground.
Instead of coming through the window swinging, which I would have 100% understood, he politely took care of me and told me to have a nice day.

“This is rated as an Applebee's not a Michelin star restaurant. Good food, great service, best I have experienced in years, regardless of the type of restaurant. Comfortable seating and quiet atmosphere. We had a very good, relaxing meal.

“If you're in search of authentic Haitian and Jamaican cuisine, The Karibbean is a must-visit spot. I recently had the pleasure of dining there, and it was an experience worth sharing.

I ordered the Goat Curry, which was served with a side of rice and beans and their signature Karibbean slaw. The curry goat was flavorful and tender, truly a standout dish. The Karibbean slaw had a nice mild kick, which I enjoyed, but if you’re someone who isn’t keen on spicy food, I’d recommend letting them know when you order. For those who love a bit of heat, it’s perfect.

For my sides, I had the fried plantains and veggie patties. Both were delicious and well-prepared, complementing the main dish wonderfully. To wash it all down, I opted for mango juice, which was refreshing and sweet, exactly what I needed to balance the spices in the meal.

Dessert was the Haitian brittle, a coconut treat that was just the right amount of sweet to finish off the meal. Unfortunately, I was too full to try it right away and had to save it for later, along with the veggie patties. The portion sizes are generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth.

The ambiance at The Karibbean is warm and inviting, with a vibrant Caribbean feel that makes you want to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly, adding to the overall experience.

I had the chance to chat with the chef, a wonderful Haitian gentleman, and it was a highlight for me. Anytime I get to speak French, I’m thrilled, and it was a pleasure to hear about his passion for bringing authentic Caribbean flavors to the community.

Overall, The Karibbean is a gem for anyone looking to explore Caribbean cuisine. Whether you’re there for the food, the ambiance, or the friendly service, you won’t be disappointed. Just be prepared to leave with leftovers!”

There is nothing we ordered that we didn’t absolutely love and it is a miracle that they are not closer to where we live or we would probably go broke eating there every meal….
