“Very cool and hip breakfast and brunch spot that really experiments with traditional favorites. The chicken and waffles provide a level of comfort that only real comfort food can provide. The brisket sandwich is flavourful, but you can end up with too much gristle. The coffee options are excellent and tasty. A hint of cinnamon or nutmeg, depending on the drink, really makes the beverage something special. Service is generally good, but some servers are more genial than others. Outdoor seating is a great option when temps climb above 60 degrees.“

“Last minute decision to catch up with a friend over brunch led us here, and it was a delightful find. We went for the sausage and pepper omelette and the salmon omelette, and they were both incredibly tasty. The goat cheese with the salmon was an unexpected but delicious combination that really made the dish stand out. Definitely worth trying!“

“My wife and I stopped in here today on a Saturday morning with our 2 young kids and had an absolutely perfect experience (and I don’t use that word lightly). If the comfortable seating, lovely ambiance, and pleasant wait staff wasn’t already enough, the food was AMAZING. They have so many interesting choices and something for everyone (including great vegetarian / vegan options). Will certainly be coming here again, they did everything exceptionally well. The management should be proud. 10/10!“

“When you first walk in you immediately notice a wonderful smell , it's hard to walk away. Luckily for us there was no wait but I've been told there usually is and I can see why , plus the space is not that big. This cozy little spot won over a customer today. I loved that they have a bakery with freshly baked goodies that you can take to go. My husband and daughter sat right next to their book shelf and to our surprise they had toddler books that entertained my 3 year old while we waited for our meal . I ordered the log cabin latte to start , the waiter recommended it and it was delicious , also very interesting . It's a latte with a smoked espresso bacon on it, don't ask me why but it works - it gives the latte an amazing smokey flavor and it tastes great (featured in my pictures) . To eat my husband and I shared their blueberry pancakes , they were sold out of the pumpkin pancakes (guess I'll have to come back ) the pancakes were good. I also ordered the avocado toast with an over easy egg and it was great. My husband had the torta and he enjoyed it. I've got to say we enjoyed ourselves and plan to come back . I wish I had space for a pastry but I'll get that next time.“

“Perfect relaxing breakfast with the family. Seated right away on a Wednesday morning. Friendly wait staff and great service. Ordered The big easy benedict and huevos rancheros, a French press, German chocolate latte and 3 different hot chocolates (for the kiddos). Everything was delicious and fresh. The price is very good if not better than most common diners in this area. The food and coffee is 1000% better too. This is our favorite breakfast place when we visit NJ. Definitely recommend.“

“This restaurant is Brick's best kept secret. The food was delicious and the staff were kind and provided great service. It's smaller than many diners but has an open concept that can be easier to maneuver for people with disabilities once you come inside. I look forward to going again and hope to bring my loved ones for a meal.“

The place is always packed, and justifiably so.Everything they make is tasty, presented well and the staff is always very friendly.They also have cold brew with coffee ice cubes so it doesn't dilute your drink as it melts and fancy fresh sqeezed juices my girlfriend and father enjoy.“

“I've driven by the other locations numerous times but never stopped. Decided to stop at this location after an early morning dr appt, for breakfast. And am I happy I did. The food was amazing and fresh. The presentation was nice as well, which isn't something I usually pay attention to. Was slow when I went, so I had basically no wait time as there were only 3 other tables sat when I was there(Monday morning around 10am) server was friendly and helpful and attentive. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely come back again.“

“We just tried Hooked Cafe in Belmar NJ for breakfast and we are so glad we did. The breakfast sandwiches we ate were delicious, and hit the spot. This is not for fancy food, just very comfortable and satisfying and very fair prices. The service was perfect. The two ladies doing the cooking and serving were terrific and friendly and knew what they were doing. Coffee was perfect as well. This is a great place for a friendly atmosphere and terrific food. They were open for breakfast and lunch until 1 PM. We will make it a regular stop.“
