Isola Italian Trattoria Reviews
Please run, don't walk to Isola! Long Beach Island is no stranger to great spots for Italian cuisine, but Isola is not your typical Italian fare.
A BYOB restaurant, Isola has a menu that easily compliments any wine!

Our dinner was outstanding. The service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful. Can't wait to go back. I felt like I was eating my mother's home cooking. Food was as authentic Italian as it gets. Highly recommend the zucchini flowers and meatballs, and the Cacio e Pepe was delicious. My husband said it was the best pork chop he has ever had.
We had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Isola Italian Trattoria! From start to finish, every aspect of the restaurant exceeded our expectations.

Isola Italian Trattoria offers excellent food in a cozy and intimate setting. The menu features a range of dishes, including the popular meatball and garlic shrimp appetizers, as well as scallops and lobster entree specials. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant offers a cash discount off posted prices. Customers praise the outstanding Porterhouse steak, delicious selection of pastas, and incredible cheesecake. The garlic shrimp, pizzas, and cavatelli are highly recommended. The food is consistently amazing, and the service is great, making Isola a favorite among island diners. Recent visitors also enjoyed the octopus appetizer, which was cooked perfectly tender with a great char, and the tile fish and cacio e pepe pasta for dinner, all tasting fresh and served quickly. The restaurant's cozy, smaller size and shared bench seating might not suit larger groups, but it remains highly recommended for delicious Italian food that is more than just a standard red sauce place.
During a recent visit for an early New Year's Eve dinner, guests found the food wonderful despite the busy, noisy atmosphere. The waiter was very efficient and accommodating. A special dish, whole fried Seabass (Frittura di Pesce), was served in a unique way—meat separated from the bones, breaded, and lightly fried—considered one of the best entrées ever experienced at a restaurant. The funghi pizza as an appetizer had a crisp crust and was very tasty. The pan seared Bronzino was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin. Portions were generous, and the food was fresh, with homemade pastas, bread, and pizza made in-house. The lively music of rock n roll hits from the 60s and 70s added to the lively atmosphere, which softened as the restaurant became more crowded. Overall, diners expressed a strong desire to return, hoping the Seabass special will be offered again in the future.
