“Visited in June 2025 for brunch during business trip. This charming tea shop never disappoints - been coming here since my London days when friends first introduced me.\n\n**FOOD QUALITY:**\nOrdered the Devon Cream Tea (around £9) - absolutely perfect. Two fresh scones served warm (cut into 4 pieces) with clotted cream and jam. The scones are lightly toasted and incredibly addictive! - easily finished all 4 pieces. This is clearly what most customers come for, and rightfully so.\n\nPreviously tried their sandwiches which are also excellent - substantial portions with great flavors, perfect for lunch.\n\n**ATMOSPHERE:**\nAuthentic old-style British tea shop atmosphere. Traditional decor - quintessentially British experience.\n\n**SERVICE:**\nEfficient and professional staff. Not overly chatty but very competent and quick service once seated. No unnecessary fuss - just good, reliable service.\n\n**WAITING TIME:**\nReservations may be possible (worth checking ahead!) though I walked in and waited. Had 3 groups ahead of me during busy period. Recommend either arriving early or calling to check booking availability to avoid queues.\n\n**VALUE:**\nExcellent value at £9 for cream tea set. Generous portions with large pot of tea and two substantial scones. Quality justifies the price completely.\n\n**LOCATION:**\nClassic London tea shop experience in the heart of the city. Perfect stop during sightseeing or business breaks.\n\n**PERFECT FOR:** Traditional British tea experience, tourists wanting authentic atmosphere, locals seeking quality comfort food, no issue with solo dining which is good!\n\n**TIPS:** Arrive early to avoid queues, definitely try the scones, consider takeaway option\n\nThis is my go-to spot every time I'm in London. The scones alone make it worth the visit - truly the best I've had anywhere. Highly recommend for anyone wanting an authentic British tea shop experience.“
