“Stop the presses!! I found a great new restaurant where artistry trumps slinging hash. It’s Pop Empanada, re-christened Pop Pasta Supper Club on Thursdays and Saturday nights. On those days, Chef Nicolas Pescatore prepares a 6 course meal, and even if you don’t like every course, you will appreciate the artistry and the ambition. Tonight, the courses were 1. celery avocado salad (replacing salmon, which this landlubber doesn’t like), 2. shrimp empanada in a butter curry sauce, 3. pork belly confit, 4. raviolo-soft boiled egg center in a brown butter sage sauce, 5. brisket ragu paccheri pasta, and 6. dessert of frangelica panna cotta key lime shortbread crumble. The cost with tip is around $100 per person plus the cost of your BYOB. We wouldn’t pay that cost often, but it’s a welcome break from the restaurants where kitchen staff show up at 4 PM and are ready to serve at 5pm.“

“Went to the brand new Houston location and things are a bit rocky with staffing and supplies but I want to brag on your employee CAMILLA ! We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. U had no idea that my Morning started out so crappy, and your sweet personality and loving spirit really turned my day around and the tres leches latte was AMAZING 🙌🏼🩷💯 yall go see them and be patient …..it’s worth the wait ❤️ side note… the whole place is decorated beautifully! “Everything was so good. We ordered a variety - including their chicken, jalea (think fried seafood mix DONE RIGHT), empanadas, chaufa, and flan. I'm not a flan person, but this was THE BEST FLAN I've ever had.
The empanadas are baked, perfectly seasoned, and feel homemade with love. The owners were so attentive and thoughtful, giving us great recommendations. I would 100% be back.“

“This place slaps. I come here pretty often and have tried a lot on the menu—it never disappoints! The nachos are done the proper way (fresh fried tortillas quartered, individually topped, and baked, rather than just a pile of chips with things plopped on). The chilaquiles are dope. Their salsas are great, too!“

I live in Pennsylvania and my family lives a few blocks from the restaurant.
Every time I'm in town I bring a dozen home with me.
I even pick up some for my friends at home.
The Cuban seems like their favorite. Mine also.

“This place is GREAT!!! Decided to attend their Valentine’s Day brunch with karaoke and it was not only a great time but the food was absolutely delicious !! The owner and staff were very sweet and made my friends and I feel very good with the attentiveness. The staff was also very enthusiastic and cheered us on as we sang! They even joined in on the fun with us (our request) ! The cafe is very clean and I truly give everything a 10/10! Wishing great success to this place and I will definitely be returning!“

“This is the best smoothie place hands down. You need to get your smoothie done by a girl, not a guy. Preferably the chunky girl.They make it perfect. Not too liquidated, just perfect frothy texture. Anytime I cheat on this place I’m like why did I do it? And they make the beeestttt empanadas. Not too oily , just perfectly cooked. I love this place. And thank god I don’t live near because I would easily weigh 600 pounds.“

“The restaurant was very neat, tidy and clean. The food is delivered in less than 10 minutes. The service was very friendly and personable. The supervisor was very accommodating to the new hire and to the customers as well. I ordered a chimichanga with extra spice. It hit the spot. I would come out to Bronx again.9/10

“After a long day at Yankee Stadium, my son and I were feeling pretty hungry and decided to explore the area. We stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, which made us feel comfortable right away.

My son was especially ravenous, and he ate every single bite of his meal—something he rarely does! He kept telling me how delicious his food was, which really made me happy. Overall, it was a great find after a busy day, and we left feeling satisfied and happy.

“I went to this restaurant, because I was curious about this place. I went in and ordered a chicken empanadas and a small Salchipapas. Both tasted so good, and the way the hot dog bites blended with the French Fries and melted Mozzarella cheese made me enjoy my stay. Thank you for the delicious food. The cashiers who served me were beautiful and wonderful people. Thank you for giving me the strength to go back to work in my college. This is a nice restaurant to dine in.“

When it comes to businesses with this type of concept, I could say that this is the cleanest I have ever visited in my life, everything impeccable. The atmosphere is super pleasant, music at an appropriate volume for the place. No matter how difficult your day was, if you come here you will have an experience so good that you will leave the place happy. As for the food, ufff, The Best Quipes in NY are here, some delicious croquettes, and the Yaroa Delicious. It has a very extensive menu and a lot of variety to choose from. “Loved the mango smoothie and the chicken empanada. I was curious about the place, and checked it out. The place looked very polished, well-maintained, and the customer service was quick. I stayed to savor the mango smoothie. When you buy the empanada, the sauce is automatically put with your order. Would come back. The lovely cashier appreciated my compliment of the store. I realized that their IG is a very sizable following. Videos and clips of the manager, people dining, their food and menu. The other day, the Pina juice drink was amazing. Natural and delicious!“

“The Morcilla was excellent. I’d only had Irish Blood Sausage before, and this compares to the texture but the flavor is completely different. I’d highly recommend trying it out!

The Patacon had a lot of different flavors going on that all worked well together. The pineapple mayo and pink sauce really stood out well and complimented the steak. I’m not sure what type of cheese was used, but it was fantastic. Very mild but rounded out of the other flavors nicely.“
