“Went to the brand new Houston location and things are a bit rocky with staffing and supplies but I want to brag on your employee CAMILLA ! We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. U had no idea that my Morning started out so crappy, and your sweet personality and loving spirit really turned my day around and the tres leches latte was AMAZING 🙌🏼🩷💯 yall go see them and be patient …..it’s worth the wait ❤️ side note… the whole place is decorated beautifully! “Cute spot for a quick empanada snack; there are no indoor seating. The ropa vieja empanada was delicious. Not big on the carnita as it's not as flavorful as the other empanadas. Each flavor of empanada has a marking on it just in case you forget which one is which when you take them out of the separated bags . Chicken noodle soup is tomato based.“

“Loved the food - the five of us ordered everything on the starter and entree menu to share, and the winner was the steak. The fish and chips was very special too. Everything was very yummy, and the service was exceptional given there was only one server and one bartender on a Friday night. I took one star off only because there was no AC and I was eaten alive by mosquitos.“

“I have loved coming here since I first discovered Hide and Seek. I started to come two years ago which gradually led to meet ups for book club, live music, catchups with friends, and just enjoying the best food/drinks. This week my partner had a venue close down their spot on the day of their birthday and two days before their birthday party. Hide and Seek welcomed us with open arms and helped us create the best birthday yet. Thank you for the best experience, service and accommodating us so last minute! This is truly one of my favorite places and a must go to. Can’t wait for my next visit!“

“It is an excellent place, good food, good prices, the staff is friendly and serves quickly, the place is clean, safe to eat and hang out. I recommend it. It seems like a good place. I have eaten there for years and it has always been a restaurant that I like to return to.

Vegetarian options: It is not a restaurant focused on vegetarian food but they sell salads, juices and a person who does not eat meat can still enjoy a good meal.

Kid-friendliness: It is a clean, quiet place, the staff is friendly and polite and the restaurant in my opinion does not represent any risk for a minor.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp so that a person in a wheelchair or other device that supports walking has the accessibility of being able to enter the premises without major difficulties.“

“They sell super authentic, affordable and super flavorful pastelitos (Dominican fried empanadas), but don’t let the fact they’re fried scare you away! They make them with different fillings, and they truly don’t disappoint. With many empanada spots opening up, they do not compare because the pricing is high or the flavor is lacking. Here the experience is worth every penny, especially the pastelitos de cangrejo (crab empanada) they make.No hay nada más auténtico que un pastelito hecho con mucho amor. “I ordered a burrito and an empanada, the burrito transported me back to my days in LA surviving off of burrito trucks . The empanada was up there with the best I've ever had. The crust was sturdy but proved fluffy, when bitten into. The filling was delicious, even if it wasn't copious (what do you expect in this economy). If I had had ordered a bottle of Jarritos, I would have known when I ordered it that it's not a twist off.“
