I had the double fried wings and sloppy joe bao bun for a starter and each dish was better than the last. the wings were super crispy yet tender inside and the sloppy joe bao buns were a trip down memory lane. the sloppy brought me back to my childhood eating at a friend's house. for my ramen I had the tonkatu. their pork broth was hearty and tasteful and reminded me of my first bowl of real ramen. However my husband and I were part of a 14 person party tonight’s a mix diet of them individuals in attendance from vegan vegetarian and finicky and all American diet ! we had appetizers of mussels the sauce was medium and those that ate them raved about them the garlic knots were a perfect blend of butter and garlic the rice balls moist and cheesy and the calamari so tender it was excellent the small soups were a meal in its self! And the main dishes from vegan, italian, build your own, fish , meat and pasta entrees to empanadas each dish was a culinary delight so fresh tasty and the portions huge! Our group was extremely happy with their choices so much food for the price which was very reasonable! We made sure we met the chef and complimented him! Our waitress Rosa was friendly accommodating and always on top of our tables to ensure everyone’s needs were met and everyone was enjoying our dinner experience truly an asset to the business and her assistant Angel just as excellent! This place is truly a gem and perfect for the vegan and non vegan palate what a find tight in our own neighborhood my family will definitely be back! “My initial review was 5 stars, and while the food is still delicious with great flavor, their portions have decreased. Their loaded nachos were the best, use to fill the container to the top. Now, it’s half the portion with barely any ground beef. Their Tacos Dorados platter with rice and beans only comes with 3 tacos, not 5 tacos as depicted in the menu’s photo, which is a bit misleading. I really love their food though, I guess my only complaint is I’m not getting enough of it 🥹 I understand the current inflation requires our favorite restaurants to increase prices, I hope they don’t ever compromise quality and portion.”

Our steaks were perfectly cooked and had a charbroiled taste which we loved. We also had the Bavarian pretzels app special which was awesome!!!! Our drinks were also fantastic. This was a great choice for our 10th wedding anniversary. We’re so glad we found it. Highly recommend!!!!!!”

“I place a pick up order and it says it’ll be ready at 8:30. I show up around 8:30 and tell the person in front that I have a pick up order. She just points to the screen and tells me to order. I tell her I had one for pickup and she shakes her head no and tells me to show her. I show her the confirmation on my phone, and she looks confused and goes to the back. She comes back and tells me to wait about 10 minutes. I already paid so I just decide to wait. It definitely took more than 10 minutes and I was just frustrated because how do you not know there’s a pick up order? It wasn’t even busy so I was just confused. I like to give her the benefit of the doubt cuz she probably honestly didn’t see it. It was just kinda inconvenient. The food was actually really good. I’m not too mad about it, just something to point out about my experience.”

However, i dont ever accept a menu item as is, i have to customize it in some way so my suggestion is to request the bread toasted and i add cheese wiz on top , so that sandwich has cooper sharp in the inside and cheesewhiz on top and chipotle sauce on the side. “Just had the best experience with ladyfingers! I had a birthday party for my daughter and they provided a two tier cake and a coffee bar. Lauren was very responsive from start to finish. I was able to pick the flavors and filings for each tier off their long list of options. I didn’t have much time to look for a cake design so just sent over a photo of a cake that I quickly googled. They were able to create it, and even better, they added a customized cake topper with my daughter’s name. They also delivered it to the venue which was very important to me since I didn’t want to deal with picking up a big cake from a bakery and making sure it didn’t get ruined during an already busy day. At the party they provided us with a “coffee bar” serving up a variety of flavored hot and iced coffee & chai. The guests loved this! Many drove from far so a coffee option was exactly what the needed upon arrival. The onsite team was great, arrived early to setup, and went above and beyond by lending me a cake stand and having ice delivered for us when we were unable to get any because it happened to be sold out everywhere near by. Overall great experience and would highly recommend them!”

“Good Ecuadorian bakery from the Sierra, Riobamba región of Ecuador. Ecuador has a lot of diversity. Especially the coast and the Sierra side.
I bought bread, roscas and cachos with Cheese. Cachos are like croissants with cheese inside which was really good. The bread is really good it was freshly baked. The salty roscas, they broke since they were placed in a plastic bag. Maybe a box would be better. But they were good. I also bought sweet roscas which were good, they didn't break but tasted a little stale.
I also bought some mini dulce de leche empanada (forgot the name). But I tasted dry and a little stale.
I'll definitely go back for the bread.

They don’t have that many women in that spot which is understandable considering how small the place is. So it’s best you sit somewhere comfortable where you’re not too far away from the action. But the only drawback is there isn’t much privacy in the lap dance room so you’re bunched up with other people in there plus the dancers and it does get mighty uncomfortable. They are definitely respectful towards you and treat you like human beings instead of an ATM which is rare nowadays plus they don’t pressure you to drink coming from someone who’s a non drinker.”

“I’ve been ordering from The Pit for years the staff is always friendly, and the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. No complaints there at all.

That said, I wanted to give a heads-up for anyone ordering the beef ribs half combo. I recently ordered the same half beef rib(S) and chicken combo I’ve gotten in the past. Typically, when I order the half beef rib(s), I receive 2–3 beef chuck ribs. This time, however, I only received one rib — which was surprising, considering the plural wording and my prior experiences.

I called and spoke with Jeff, who was respectful and upfront. He mentioned that the combo only includes one beef rib and that prices have gone up (which I totally get). Still, based on my regular orders over the years, I’ve never received just one rib until now. Either way, I appreciate his transparency.

For context:
• Half chicken combo = ~$11.95
• Half beef rib(S) & chicken combo = ~$16.95

So if you’re expecting multiple beef ribs, you may want to reconsider and go for the chicken or pork ribs instead both still come in hearty portions.

To be clear, this isn’t a complaint just advice for fellow regulars or first-timers who may be surprised by the term beef rib(S)with a single rib. I’ve even added pictures in photos comparing what I received vs. the half chicken combo.

Bottom line: The Pit remains a solid spot with delicious food, generous sides, and great service just be mindful of the current beef rib portions when ordering.”

I ordered the pernil, which comes with rice and beans, a chicken empanada, papa rellena (stuffed potato ball), and a fresh passion fruit juice.

I couldn't even finish the pernil with rice and beans because there was so much food lol but the flavors were on point, and the pork shoulder was cooked well. Loved the passion fruit juice, too.

Happy to add Al punto to the local rotation. Love seeing Bloomfield's diversity in cuisine grow. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks for the food!”

“I can’t speak for the day crew, but I go out of my way the opposite direction home because it’s one of the few 24hr Starbucks locations left. The night shift is wonderful to me and make my drinks better than other locations. I am so glad this one is open anytime.”
