Boonton's best places for Mexican cuisine are in our list.
“We are from out of town and we were looking for a family oriented restaurant that had good home cooking. The food was delicious, I had a whole snapper with white rice and tostones (green fried plantains) and my husband had white rice, black beans, salad and steak smothered in onions. Everything was Delicious and I even took my leftovers to the hotel for later. I can't say enough about the treatment we got from Denis the owner and his wife. He came to our table and we talked and even exchanged phone numbers. I would recommend anyone looking for a homey place with excellent food and staff to go and enjoy your meal there. You will not regret it.“
“Came here for breakfast on a Saturday and there wasn’t a lot happening inside, but the service was great. Very friendly staff and the food felt very authentic Mexican. Ordered the Huevos Rancheros and it was great! Not exactly what I was expecting for breakfast, but everything was good.“
“We have ordered food here many times for our family. The food is always delicious and the staff is excellent! The owner is very supportive of the community!!! If your organization is looking to fundraise, please reach out to the owner of Bubbakoo's Burritos in Livingston.“
“This is a small business that makes you feel at home even from different ethnicity. We are a fmaily of 7 and accomodated us very well. My kids are extremely picky and 3 of them chose the chicken tacos and loved them! One had the quesadilla and he is the most picky he ate some and took the rest for the next day. I am very picky with Mexican authentic food but this surpass all the restaurants I have been to in PA (I live in PA)! Al Azar plate was awesome and my baby is not one to eat much and she was eating the rice. My husband had the Caldo beef. To my surprise that was the most tasty soup I have tasted and the 1st Mexican soup I have tasted! The horchata was out of this world good! Will definitely go back again! I told the server that my son had a shellfish allergy and respected that! I bet the rest of the dishes are just as good!Parking: It’s a small location with parking. But that is enough for us!Kid-friendliness: My kids were excited! The decorations made them so happy! The food was great! Respected my child’s allergies!“
“Wow!! So we had a group of 8 and was pouring rain so looking for a takeout place. Found Tacos Polos because it was only 5 minutes away. We ordered tons of food for pickup. The price was great and the quality and amount for the price was unbelievable. We ordered a 30 tacos combo ?they were amazing. Everything was so good. We are so happy we found an amazing takeout place nearby.“
“Be careful what you wish for. One torta here completely eliminated any chance I'd be doing any more climbing yesterday at the gym we were at next door. Delicious lunch though next time I'll opt for something lighter if I hope to continue climbing.“
“Central Taqueria is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. The homemade tortillas are a game-changer – absolutely perfect in every way.I had the pleasure of trying their cochinita, pollo, al pastor, and birria tacos, and each one was bursting with flavor. And let's talk about their deals, especially Taco Tuesday – it's a steal! I even got to enjoy an agua fresca alongside my four delicious tacos.Oh, and don't get me started on their churros – just the right amount of sweetness, making them literally perfect. What really sets Central Taqueria apart, though, is the warmth and friendliness of the owner and staff. They made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in.I'm already planning my return visit tomorrow – where I will be trying their torta! Thank you, Central Taqueria, for an unforgettable taco experience. Best i have had in east coast (coming from a Californian!)“
“Really fresh Mexican food with quick service.Ordered pickup and tried the steak nachos and triple combo chimichangas. Both came in a huge serving with a ton of sides and extras to mix in.Great flavor in everything I had. Definitely stop by.“
“Macho Nacho continues to be the best tacos around! Used to eat at the old location, and love the new location more. I traveled a lot for work and I only get one thing here which stacks up amazingly to the best tacos - carne asada on a crispy taco shell. Comes with guac (a must have) and pico, and add the amazing red and green sauces and squeeze of lime - perfection! Top off with a Mexican Coke and you have an amazing and affordable meal - the spice and flavor dances on the tongue and continues to do so after you leave!“
“If you're looking for gringo tacos, this is not the spot for you. Super authentic, super delicious,l Mexican fare. The cabeza de reis tacos are incredible. Fresh ingredients, bright and flavorful salsas. This is definitely my new regular taco spot.“
“I don't know how we figured my order out..but the lady at the front desk and my spanglish got the order in. I have never had better tacos bisteca in my life. And also the aguas Fresca?!???? To die for. I got the pineapple. She side eyed me a little when I said I wanted all this food but it's Ramadan and ya girl is hungry. I also ordered ahead and they were able to get my food ready at the time to break my fast. Now that is EXCELLENT customer service.“
“"Oh. My. Tastebuds! ? I just had the most divine Birria tacos at 3 Hermanos , and I'm still reeling from the flavor explosion! The tender, slow-cooked goat meat just fell apart in my mouth, swimming in a rich, spicy, and slightly sweet consommé that had me swooning. The fresh cilantro, onion, and lime wedges added a pop of freshness to each bite. But the real game-changer was the housemade tortillas - soft, pliable, and slightly charred - they elevated the entire experience to new heights. I've had Birria tacos before, but these were truly transcendent. If you're a taco aficionado or just looking to try something new, DO NOT MISS OUT ON THESE! ?? 10/10 would devour again (and again...and again...)."“
“Wifey and I have been talking about going to Fat Fish Taco for eight years - since they opened - but we FINALLY made it last night. And we. Both agreed we were idiots for waiting so long. This place reminded both of us of being in a Jersey shore restaurant - pleasing and simple decor, friendly people, and good food. They were mostly filled when we got there, but we were seated immediately and started looking over the menu. We opened our wine (yep, it's BYOB) and they brought us some glasses. It was pretty tough deciding what to have. First we considered an appetizer and a couple tacos each, but then the table next to us got their nachos and we decided on those and one taco each. We ordered the nachos with chicken, Wifey got the Baja taco and I had the Blackened Sole taco. Man...it was all good. Kudos to the owner, Steve, and the wait staff. The tacos were delicious and everything tasted so fresh. The nachos were great too, though I would have liked more chicken on them. The chips tasted fresh and everything on top was just amazing. We finished off the evening with a slice of Key Lime pie with two spoons. It's not a stretch to say this is the best Key Lime pie I've ever eaten...anywhere. Could not have asked for a better meal...as Wifey said, it was an "Unexpected Delight. Took us 8 years to finally come here...won't be 8 years til our next visit, that's for sure. Worth every penny.“
“We love this place, great food and a fair price. The staff is always friendly and punctual. I have dined in and taken to go. The bonitos and tacos are our go to's and their awesome I have also tried many other items on the menu and all are excellent.“
“Not much to look at from the street, but the food is LEGIT. Best Mexican I've had in a long time; fresh and delicious. You can mix and match proteins and the portions are generous for the price. We had a fabulous meal. Be forewarned they are cash only. No biggie for us, but might be for those who don't carry cash.Only downside (again, nothing w/the service or the food) was that we could have done without "The Hunger Games" playing on the TVs in the eating area - turn them off and just put on some music!“
“Absolutely incredible authentic Mexican and Latin cuisine. Courteous and friendly service, attentive food presentation, and oh so delicious. We drive over 20 mins from home just to come eat breakfast here. The huevos rancheros are simply sublime.“
“My whole family really loves Los Carnales. I'm surprised I haven't written about them yet. It's our 3 year old son's first choice when we were deciding where to go. He loves the chips with the green salsa, and he has good taste - it's very flavorful. The inside is just super cute and festive. It is small and cozy, but one of our favorite spots. We also love the waitresses. We do get take out often as well, but despite our introvert personalities we prefer to go there. We try different things on the menu, but we always start with the Choriqueso. It's so hard to find a good chorizo queso that isn't all grease with cheap cheese. This ends up being the little guy's meal. I also love the Ensalada de la Casa with shrimp. Lately we've been loving the Quesadilla Mexicanas with steak or shrimp. They are really generous portions as well. The menu has both Mexican and American style on the favorites, which I really appreciate. Not only is it good for those used to one style, but it also offers great variety if you just want something different. I'm sorry it took almost a year for me to applaud this place. Mexican is our favorite but I have struggled to find a good place, despite glowing reviews. The food looks fantastic but then the protein is completely bland. Not Los Carnales!! They know what they're doing.“
“We love this place! The staff is always welcoming and the food is so good! I usually get the flautas or tostadas, and look forward to their chips & salsa. Fine in and takeout orders have always been ready fast and served hot. We've never had any issues and have been coming here every so often since they opened. Highly recommended!“
“Food was delicious! We were driving through to get gas off the highway and luckily we found this place. Absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend. We had chicken and steak tacos with guacamole/salsa & chips. Perfection & super affordable!Dietary restrictions: Asked for no diary and grilled chicken instead of breaded and they accommodated our needs with no hesitation.“
“Very authentic and flavorful! I especially love the steak tacos which had authentic good flavor on real corn tortillas! Also it's a byob and u can get margaritas and sangria just add your own. Amazing cemita too! I had the chicken Milanese cemita and it was great!“
“I really like this place and couldn't wait to try it again. When I arrived I parked on the street. I walked into a busy restaurant. I was greeted and ordered the burrito bowl and the street corn. The bowl was good as per usual. And the ambiance and service were good. I definitely had a good experience!“
“Yummm! A favorite pastime of ours is finding affordable Mexican food throughout the northeast & this definitely fit the bill. An authentic place with lots of flavor! The mole was delicious & they're super generous with the hot sauce/salsas! Service was kind and attentive. It's a hole in the wall place, but has enough seating for everyone! Hope to come back when in the area.“
“This place is wonderful! Every time I walk in through the door, the whole crew makes me feel welcome with a big smile and a nice greeting. They are very attentive and careful when it comes to preparing your meal. Food service is just outstanding!Food quality is ?! Birria Tacos are my favorite! The restaurant is always spotless. Definitely, if you haven't been here in a while, you must come back since this place has been under new management for a couple of years!“
“I wish I went here sooner. I love everything about this place. There’s plenty of food options. They have a sandwich and wrap station , taco station , pizza station , a fresh salad and bowl station and fruits and desserts. There’s plenty of chips and drinks to choose from. This is a great lunch spot. I had a “Livingston” pizza which had bacon, pineapple , and Gorgonzola cheese and it was real delicious. I also tried an “Essex” sandwich which was chicken cutlet , spicy ranch and tomato on Focaccia bread toasted nicely in the oven. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating. Very friendlyHelpful people working. I will be back for sure to try many more items.“
“Our server davie was awesome- my son has a few allergies (dairy, egg, and nut) and made sure all of the food we ordered was safe for him to eat. We really appreciated it, especially that he checked up on us asking if he was safe once the food came out. Little things like that I’ve really come to appreciate at restaurants and make our experience so much better. Definitely adding Nom to the list of restaurants to visit again. Thanks!Dietary restrictions: My son has a dairy egg and peanut allergy“
“Great little eatery. My wife and I shared the ultimate nachos which was a generous portion for the price. I had the western omelet which was also quite a lot of food and tasted delicious. My wife had the cheese steak sandwich which she enjoyed .“
“Super cool place. My partner and I got two drinks which were delicious but strong! We loved the chips and salsa. We order queso dip for an appy and that was good. He had a burrito and I had fajitas both were delicious! He finished his burrito and I had lots of leftover. We were not crazy for the cheesecake bomb but everything else was delicious.“
“My boyfriend and I have been to many restaurants in Morristown, but Orale is definitely our new favorite. With dinner we tried the Blood Orange Margarita, and the Cosmopolitan, both drinks we highly recommend. We started with the Pork Belly Guacamole, Pulpo, and Flautas de Pollo. All were truly amazing and exciting. As mains, we had the wood grilled carne asada and the Ribeye Plancha. The meat in both dishes was so tender and perfectly buttery. Lastly for dessert we shared the Flan, Tres Leches and an espresso martini. The flan is the true highlight of the night. It is truly so delicate and delicious. It is a MUST TRY. Fausto was our server and was super attentive, kind and very welcoming We genuinely could not love and recommend this restaurant more. Incredible and absolutely one of the best restaurant in the Morristown area.“
“This speakeasy Mexican Restro bar is a true delight, offering impeccable and swift service, a charming ambiance that sets the mood just right, and margaritas that are simply top-notch. A perfect spot for those seeking a memorable experience with fantastic drinks and a touch of mystery!“
“Had a great experience at Cinco de Mayo. Food was good. Some of the best guacamole I have had, super fresh. Their chips and salsa are quite good too a tad spicy yet my 7 year old was hooked on them. I want to speak on the service it was exceptional. I really hope the owner/ manager recognize their team as good service is hard to find.“
“Absolutely adore this restaurant and have been going for years! My husband and I love their food so much that we ordered catering for our daughter's first birthday and it was DELICIOUS. We had so many compliments. Gloria was so easy to work with and incredibly thoughtful with our order. You can tell everything is made with love.Dietary restrictions: We ordered specifically around my husband's gluten allery and everything was safe!“
“I wish I honestly stayed to eat instead of takeout to tell the person who cooked my burritodilla how phenomenal it was!! He made a suggestion of protein to go with my choice-I devoured it! Thank you. Will definitely be stopping by again soon for a ritual “taco Tuesday” “
“We happen to find this place when the place we were going to was closed down the road.My wife and I were very impressed with the food. The shrimp ceviche was the best we had. They are not cheap with the shrimp and nowhere in Dover where we had it can make it like here.We go out of our way to make a trip here a few times a month. The only funny thing to comment on and its nothing bad, is the choice of tv viewing. They continuously loop Benji commercials all day. They should have some kind of TV viewing but obviously not a deal breaker at all. Just a funny comment. We have been to both locations and definitely prefer the Caldwell location.“
“These gentlemen working night shift are absolutely amazing, caring, and SOLID. Every time I have come to this location at night, these guys never fail to deliver. Today specifically comes after a 2 day illness, where I needed a solid 1500 calorie meal at once to recover. What a great move, I had faith that this would not be a bad move, and they delivered yet again.THANK YOU to this Specific Taco Bell location for never letting me down. I appreciate the long days/nights and hard work you all put in. Thank you ❤️“
“We ordered the chicken tacos, chicken nachos and a beef burrito. The food was very good and done at the time we requested (we placed a special request to get it done right away - bad planning on our part - thanks for helping). in addition, we received our food the exact way we requested it and nothing was missing. My only minor complaint is that the burrito is smaller than some places but it was well worth $10, which is a fair price. Everything else was priced fairly as well with large quantities and in most instances cheaper than other places The chicken tacos and nachos was a large, very tasty serving. The person who took our order was very friendly. Two requests - please add churros (your competitors have) & fix online ordering :) we look forward to returning!“
“This is the place to go!!!If you are looking for a nice, sparkling clean, great food, and amazing atmosphere, this is definitely the place to go!!!Great food fairly priced, (low l would say), for the kind of drinks and quality of food you will get....and if you decide to go make certain to ask for Kevin, he is the mexican server that literally save the night, he is there on tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays...Way to go Margarita Team!!!“
“Food is outstanding. The people are very nice. Super clean and they take allergies seriously!I have a dairy allergy and this is one of the only restaurants I trust (from experience).Cute restaraunt for a byo date night or family get together- nicely decorated.I get the tacos- cilantro and onions, homemade salsa and guacamole, like everything else I've had there, is always very fresh and delicious. The Birrias Tacos- tender, juicy, flavorful- rich, but not greasy, sauce on the side.Jess gets the quesadilla- steak and authentic cheese she tells me is like a fresh mozz.See you there!“
“This place is by far my favorite spot to order from when it comes to takeout. As a night shifter, it's hard to find reliable places to order from Uber/Grubhub/etc when you are beat from work but this place delivers, pun intended. Ever since my coworker recommended this place, I have been a big fan. Some of my favorites include the Tex Mex Burrito, the steak quesadillas, and of course the guacamole. The prices are very reasonable and I haven't had a bad experience yet from the several times I've ordered there when it comes to food quality. I'm not able to comment on the actual dining experience but I can vouch for the food. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the mood for some great local food in the area. It's a great alternative from your typical chain food restaurants. Enjoy!“
“We came here after another restaurant that was suggested to us for Mexican food was closed. The place wasn't packed or loud, but it seemed very clean. The server wasn't too talkative but very friendly. I ordered the Chimichanga, and my lady love ordered the Taco/Enchilada/Chili Relleno combination platter. The beans were really good. Chimichangas were good, as was her combo platter, but could probably use just a hint of spice for a bit of a wow factor. All in all, not bad. A good little spot for a bite to eat, and talk. Price wise, it was about average. Not too expensive. I'd like to come back and sit outside when the weather warms up.“
“I unexpectedly was having 12-15 people over my house after a memorial service. I called Chanos and asked if they would be able to provide food for me within 2 hours. Surprisingly, they did not hang up the phone, but rather, the gentleman put me in contact with their caterer. She was extremely kind and helpful. She guided me in choosing food and the team got it done and delivered to my house right on time. I could not be more thrilled to have this amazing restaurant in the town I live in. Thank you!“
“I was just thinking about this place today....I use to go here religiously but that was when I lived closer.....This place is legendaryyyy. I'm talking about the Mexican Menu. That chimichanga, flauta, quesadilla combo meal they have is just too good. Their fajita mix is amazing. To be honest, not a single Mexican restaurant I found till this day offers a combination meal the way Tony's does. For those who are unaware the owners owned a Mexican restaurant down the street from Tony's. They closed it down to open up Tony's and offered the Mexican menu. The portions are big, atmosphere is good, prices are good, if you don't go here to try their Mexican food you will regret it...trust“

I stopped here on my way to school or work and highly recommended for those who love something quick and delicious.“

“We ate here once before, but it was just as things opened up after COVID, and it was so-so. We finally returned and I'm so happy we did. The food was very good, the service was super friendly and attentive, and the interior is cozy. We've found our favorite local spot for Mexican food!“
