The food is fresh, great tasting and the chicken is well trimmed.

I also enjoy looking at the many different styles and sizes of statues for sale.

It's a local takeout place and once the Mom of adult children who takes my phone in order realizes it's me walking I. To pick up my food, her expression changes into a smile.“

I am a student of Martial Arts for many years and a Trenton firefighter, so I have a lot of respect for the Chinese people and the food. I had to see how well the food and business were in that location. Honestly, the cleanest Chinese Restaurant in the Area that I know of, Bathroom, Service and food 😋. Well done. “Best location especially just outside of Six Flags. This location is super convenient and the quality of food is on par if not better than other locations like the mall. It’s a standalone restaurant and the value and options are great. It’s always fresh and plenty of room to enjoy your meal. The lady on the phone was helpful when I ordered and clarified each item. I was there at 8:30 pm, the parking lot was pretty dark and most stores were closed on the strip mall where the store is located. There's a laundry mat and seafood restaurant on opposite sides on Mr China. Cars park along the sidewalk in the front of the stores to pick up their orders. Be careful pulling in and out. After I parked I witnessed a car pulling in as a mini van was pulling away from the curb, they b nearly collided.Parking lot hijinks aside, I recommend the food at this restaurant.“

We usually order from sultan wok but got tired of them. This food was so good and did taste very fresh. But if you notice the dishes they prepare aren't Chinese food it's American food just cook their way and the texture is great. “After our go-to place sold to new owners during covid, we had been struggling trying to find a Chinese spot that actually had good food....then we found Joyful Garden. We have ordered more items than we normally do just to try out different things amd everything has been excellent. The only thing that wasn't a hit with my husband was the honey wings....he didn't care for the sauce on the wings and texture of the wings. Otherwise this place has great food, at great prices. You have to try it out!“

I have not had Chinese food this good before. The white rice was fluffy, the beef and broccoli was tender not chewy, and the sweet and sour chicken was super flavorful and not tough or soggy! The eggroll with pork and shrimp was amazing too. Honestly the egg roll, chicken lo mein and sweet and sour chicken were probably the best I’ve ever had and I recommend those. “I did an order delivery tonight and it's probably enough for three or four nights. I ordered directly from the store..The delivery came within 30 minutes and the lady I spoke to to make the order was very nice before that. I got some steamed chicken dishes with sauce on the side. I asked for brown rice instead of white rice and it was only a dollar per serving. I also got pork with snow peas and it came perfectly beautifully steamed even though i didn't specify that but it's exactly how I like it. Also lo mein as well. All of this with delivery fee and tip totalled about 60 or $65. And the food tastes just great. I am so happy I ordered from them and this is the second time I did so and had forgotten about them for a while. I rate this as the best Chinese delivery food in the area.

“This is my favorite Chinese spot in Jersey. It's the closest thing to NYC Chinese food.

They used to do a lunch buffet from 11-230 on the weekdays. But I don't think that they resumed after Covid. The prices did go up, but the quality of the food is still amazing.

“We have our usual Chinese place, but we thought we'd give this one a try because it was conveniently on our way home from a service. I ordered the sezchuan tofu. My husband got vegetable chow mein and we also got a side of vegetable fried rice. The sezchuan tofu was probably the best Chinese takeout I've ever had. It wasn't too spicy to eat but had enough kick to make my sinuses clear. The fried rice was too sticky and didn't seem fried. It was lacking in seasoning and flavor but the vegetables in it were big and chunky. My husband's chow mein looked great but lacked sauce. It was all fresh. I'll def be back for the tofu dish.

“If I'm being honest, I never go along because of its location. The People inside and outside , no parking. Even before Covid. But, since Covid-19 it has changed a lot. The taste, the amount of food given and yes the price. but it's still my number one place to go for chicken wings and pork fried rice. Because of the amount of food that they give you, I'm now asking for extra just to see what ever I'm ordering. Her egg rolls have gone down a lot. They're dry and smaller.“

“This place was really busy, which was a GREAT sign! I tried this restaurant out today for the 1st time and really enjoyed the freshness of the rice and fried Plantains. The pork fried rice was nicely balanced and not salty- just right. The chicken and broccoli was absolutely fresh with a balanced crunch on the veggies and nice chunks of chicken. I also ordered half a fried chicken and a chicken lo-mein for the family and they loved it.There's parking available with about 4 spaces including1 handicap parking spot (awesome). The customer service was actually pretty decent. When you're craving Chinese food, check this place out.“
