“We came here for a birthday and left feeling disappointed. It took a long time for the cocktails to come out, as well as the food. The waiter was attentive and kind, continuously apologizing for the wait but proceeded to bring chips and salsa every few minutes, although we had not finished the last serving yet. It felt like he was trying to cover up the fact that the food was taking so long to come out but by the time it did, we were stuffed from eating the chips. I ordered a chicken bowl which was average, with not much spice or flavor.“

“For as busy as it was (7pm on a friday night) and how many people were in there, it was run great. I was ordering food as well as picking up an order for my friend. “Tacowala is a really great option for large events. Amish was incredibly welcoming and helpful in helping us choose how much and what to order for my guests. We fed 40+ people with the tacowala catering event, it was all correct and greatly organized. “This is one of those Diners, Drive-ins & Dives kinda places for Tex Mex!! Located in Manville, NJ, its a chill little place with amazing food!! Go early cause it gets busy! “The vegetarian black bean burrito is superb. The hot and spicy salsa is crazy hot. Even their regular salsa has a nice enough flavor to it with a little bit of heat. The sope is okay at least a vegetarian version and I thought the bread was way too thick.“
