“We got our wedding cake from Calandra's Bakery. They have so many flavors to choose from, and their cakes are magnificent works of art! We got a four tier cake to feed 250 people. We had such a good time at our tasting, sampling all the different flavor combinations, and enjoying some complimentary coffee. The flavors we chose were vanilla cake with chocolate pudding, chocolate and vanilla cake with Italian custard and strawberries, and chocolate cake with dulce de leche. Their dulce de leche is the best I have ever tasted! Designing the cake was super easy and so fun! If you want a cake that not only looks spectacular, but tastes just as good, Calandra's is it!“

“I went to Calandra’s Italian Village and had one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food was amazing! fresh bread, perfectly cooked pasta, and everything just tasted like it was made with love.

Our server Jayson was awesome. Super friendly, really attentive, and made some great recommendations from the menu. He made the whole night feel easy and fun, like we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

“Calandras has been a staple in my family since before I was born. My grandparents lived in Newark and would go to the bakery for the bread and my papa would always bring home cupcakes for us. I discovered they opened restaurants and other locations a few years ago, after I had left NJ and then came back many years later. It is by far, the best restaurant ever. I'm obsessed with this place. The desserts are delicious. I only wish they had one in central NJ/eastern PA because it's hard for me to get up there, except when visiting my family up north.“

The attention to detail for what I wanted was phenomenal. The owners and staff are incredible and accommodating and I received many compliments on the design as well as the cookies and pastries. “I’m a repeat customer here. Today I went in to get a cake and kavin the owner was there. I had an odd request. My kids love the chocolate coins they use to decorate the cake. I asked if I was able to purchase them. They are not something they sell but he let me have one for each of my boys. It was so kind and generous. Alba helped check me out And the man working whose name it I did not get got me my cake and the chocolate coins. They made my boys day. Thank you!!!“
