“This is Rocco's ! What's there to say ? As always nothing short of fast friendly and deliciously fabulous. Over 50 years family business. What's there to say besides fast, friendly and caring community icons. It's Rocco's steaks delicious fresh high quality and the Italian Hoagie is the absolute best I have ever had.( Well, actually have had repeatedly over and over and delicious every time ) I just cannot bring myself to get one from anywhere else. High quality fresh meats made correctly. They also serve many other foods and breakfast items at good prices. A popular neighborhood staple but if you don't live in the direct area definitely worth a little ride for take out. ♥️ They are take out and delivery but they do have a small counter seating and both that many like to frequent.“

“What an absolutely legendary cheesesteak! As someone who has eaten more cheesesteaks than any normal human should comsume, I daresay this missile of a sandwich was the best I've ever had. Fried onions, peppers, and mushrooms, and all 3 cheeses. The food came fast, the service was excellent, and the pricing was exactly where it needs to be, especially considering tye quality of the food these people are churning out. The portion size was perfect for a hearty fat man such as myself. This will now ALWAYS be the place I go for the most unctuous, velvety cheesesteaks. My life is forever changed.“

“You probably won't have high expectations when you roll up to this place as it isn't fancy, but don't judge a book by its cover. I made the horrible mistake of eating at Pat's the other day, and the meat tasted like shoe leather. This little joint served up a perfectly seasoned hot cheesesteak and a great milkshake - I'll definitely be back.“

“My husband loves this chain from his time working in Marlton. We were in Voorhees running errands, and decided to stop into this location. It's slightly more spacious than Marlton which is nice. The service was quick and efficient. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and it was delicious. Fresh and lots of chicken. It came with two little bread sticks and vodka sauce which was phenomenal. My husband got a cheesteak and cheese fries which he loved. He said the leftovers were still just as tasty the next day. Will definitely return!“

“Best place for a cheese steak but to tell the truth all their sandwiches are fantastic. And they are always adding newer items. Always the best quality too! While most restaurants may not be as good as they used to be, it is the opposite for Tony & Nick's. They started at a very high level and seemed to exceed it.“

“While on tour we stopped by this amazing place that's #BlackOwned and operated by people of color. The atmosphere is great. The bathroom is clean. The staff is attentive. Service is impeccable. Shout out to ALEXIS!! I had the Philly cheese steak and jerk chicken cheese fries. It was so good. The portions were a plenty. You have to go if you don't know about it. Again, shouts to Alexis. “After reading about the real estate and trademark dispute in the law journal recently I decided to drive to Philly and visit the original Jim’s Steak West from 1939 that predates Jim’s South Street. Cool back story and legal wrangling to resuscitate this business. We enjoyed the neighborhood and the business started to fill up as Church let out with everybody in their Sunday best. Ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, Kosher Hoagie and Banana pudding which was all delicious.“

“The owner and staff greeted us with a great big smile and then we picked out what looked to be my favorite—buffalo chicken. I knew this pizza looked like it was the perfect consistency, but I wasn’t sure yet if the taste would measure up. It had the perfect amount of cheese and just the right hint of ranch sauce—oh, so good! The plain slice took me right back to my hometown pizza shop in both taste and consistency. We are super picky about our pizzas, with Brooklyn’s best being among my faves. I am telling you that this place is the best hidden gem in Philly for pizza! You have to try it!“

“Small sub shop around Penns Landing and I am glad we stopped to get some real Philly cheesetakes to bring DMV...
South Philly is the best so far and stayed hot even after a couple of hour drive.

“Had my first Water Ice, Lemon, here while we were touring the area. Fantastic! The gentleman that ran the cart was friendly nad hooked my right up, even though he was in the middle of a boat load of Cheesesteak orders. If I had had room for another Cheesesteak I definitely would have ordered one of his, they looked and smelled incredible. His usual spot is right there on the corner of 6th & Market and it's a great unofficial Ambassador to the city and it's local flavors. If you're going to visit Philly, this is a good stop to plan on.“

“I live not too far from Larry's steaks o. 9th and Girard. Im a Phillycat born and raised and I've been across country and to Alaska. This is hands down one of the best steak places to go in philly! And there are a few little hood jaws, up in the cut but good a** food. No doubt stop in and grab something in day or late night they the spot. I usually order a classic cheese steak and fries, cheese burger and fries, or a steak stromboli. Which I got a small and felt Hella greedy cause it was so fargin big! “I had family in from Connecticut. Our plan was to do DiLasandro's but...you can't eat inside and it's a 45 minute wait. We went across the street to Chuby's. We were not disappointed! The cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks were great! And...the fries...the best I've had in a long time...crispy and delicious! If you insist on DiLasandro's...waiting 45 minutes and then going somewhere to eat it...I understand. However, if you want to sit down...and have fries with ZERO wait for a table...(DiLasandro's only has bags of chips) go for it. But...to me...I'd give Chubby's a 4!!!“

“My favorite spot to eat in the Deptford Mall food court. Highly recommend the kimchi cheesesteak, but if you want traditional go with the Old School. Cheese fries were excellent as well.

It's a tad pricey but it's in the mall, so for what ya get I think it's fair. Quality is excellent as well. Give them a try.“

“The cheesesteak is great. I have eaten a lot of cheesesteaks and I can honestly say it is definitely good quality and sizeable steak for the prices. My only complaint would be that if you are ordering for delivery don’t get any of the fried food like the mac and cheese balls, they don’t manage to stay crispy at all by the time they get to their destination. Maybe they could look into ways to keep them crispy for a longer period of time. Either way the cheesesteak is a 8.5+/10 (extremely good)“

“Not going to lie, some of the best places are in areas most people are afraid to go to but I’m from Hartford and decided to take a trip down with my home girl and she didn’t want to get out the car because she said it was “the hood” but I told her this is what we came for. The food was absolutely amazing! Wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else. It put her to sleep on the ride back lol The staff were friendly and gave me home vibes and I love it. The price for a Half was less expensive than other places and you get your moneys worth plus more. Amazing job guys!!“

“My husband and I were in town visiting our son. This was definitely an authentic cheese steak. My son had the mushroom and hubby and I shared a mushroom and added hot/sweet peppers with Swiss cheese. My husband is GF and they made ours in a bowl with lettuce and tomato. We also ordered curly fries. Everything was delish and seasoned nicely. Looks like a party store, but step inside and eat in or take-out. It was a great way to begin our Philly visit.“

As I traveled here, I didn’t know what to expect because I don’t know of any good , cheap food spots in this exact area right off the Blvd. Ain’t the best part of Philadelphia but there is security cameras inside & the 2 staff members were nice .
