“Our waitress was the sweetest and they have some really unique menu items. I’d say their sweet choices are better than the savory but we enjoyed everything we had. Cornbread French toast was particularly sublime! The French press Kona coffee was a great start to the day. My one small complaint was the cleanliness of the dishes. My coffee mug had a visible red lipstick stain, my water glass had food particles on it and one of my plates was dirty. Just a small critique there. The space is nice open and not stuffy. And I noticed a good amount of foot traffic overall!“

“It's so hard to go to brunch with folks when all they want is eggs and pancakes, but, you can go to Turning Point and have some vegan goodies! They have Just Egg, which is great, because you don't need to feel left out. They have a delicious power up grains bowl with a salad, quinoa and legumes, and sautéed veggies, dressed up with fresh avocado and salsa. It's a pretty decent size, but if you have a large appetite, it may not be enough. Thankfully, they have vegan pancakes, yesssss! Order them and be happy with your carbs, syrup and fresh bananas and strawberries. Top it all off with a bunch of juice and beverage options like French press coffee, tea, lattes and fresh juices. There's also avocado toast, waffles, oatmeal and at least one salad that's vegan friendly. So, that's pretty much an option in all the categories. This makes it a great option for veg*ns, because so often there is only one or two choices! There's also vegan sausage if you like that with your brekkie or brunch. Yum all around - just wish they had a vegan hot chocolate section. Parking is easy, service is quick and table are plentiful.“

I had issues with some of my Canadian cards not working to pay and I felt bad causing a bother during busy breakfast hours. A Philly staple. The cheese steak. Everyone complains about portions nowadays where you go. That's just the world we live in today, but the portion of fries, which by the way were some of the best fries I've EVER had! It taste so fresh. Hot, golden and the crispiness was on point! The cheese steak had the right amount of meat, cheese, onions and seasoning to bread ratio! Chef's kiss! The bread was toasted on the inside that had that crunch goodness to it. Come here for their breakfast! Then come back later for their lunch! You won't be disappointed! Shout out to the hostess! She was amazing! Very polite and professional!

The only reason I gave atmosphere a 4 star rating was because while I was there another customer was being obnoxiously loud. Again, not the places fault. Otherwise, fantastic experience!“

“It's definitely a sketchy part of the city but their food is really good, and they seem like friendly enough people. My fave thing to order here is the chicken and waffles. The chicken is never seasoned but still good somehow,just needs some salt and pepper (+). Their grits are pretty good as well, not lumpy like some other breakfast spots.“

Staff was lovely and attentive and we were surprised to see there was a seating area. The hot dogs are a must get and all of them were delicious. Definitely recommend adding on the picked and onion. “Yum! Tasty, crispy donuts! That’s right, crispy! The ones I tried all had a nice crisp/crunch to them. Not many donut shops have the white crème donut and apple fritter that I prefer, but they do! Good size donuts, and reasonably priced. While it’s a bit of a trek for me, it’s now my go-to donut shop in the city! Conveniently located at the Italian Market.“

“This was the first restaurant my Grandmother took me to when I came to Philly when I was 8 I am going to be 44 in 2 months. Loyal customer for 36 years. They fed my family for 3 generations. It's not the same owners I started out with but the quality of food never changed and these owners owned it for decades. If you can ignore what's going on outside it's a great stop. The neighborhood changed the restaurant did not.“

“I love this Bodega. They are friendly, clean, reasonable prices. Hot food is really good. And if you can grab a dessert before they sell out, you'll definitely be enjoying it. They have plenty of items needed. I recommend it

“This is my breakfast spot when I go into the office! It's located in the Suburban SEPTA train station so I walk (about 2 minutes) here after getting off my train.

I always order the same thing, omelet with beef bacon but sometimes I'll order pancakes, french toast, grits or add a coffee. Nonetheless everything I've ordered has been great and the prices are pretty reasonable. Even more the customer service is excellent and they are always so warm and welcoming!

“This place has been a staple for a long while now. Breakfast of fish and grits is my favorite and fish and shrimp with fries when I'm feeling like fish on Friday. Had recent company that seriously had a thing for the French toast I got them. The cooks are doing something right.

Parking: There is a lot out front. It's never overcrowded but can look dark at night. Yet the bus stop and traffic patterns are usually busy enough to counter it feeling unsafe.“
