Where to start… Trappixx is an amazing place to have a family dinner, date night, solo dinner etc. The Staff are amazing, friendly and on top of everything everything was a 10/10 best Jamaican food I’ve tasted ! GREAT EATS ! Recommend that garlic shrimp with the white rice ( mouth drooling ) lol but yeah definitely check them out !“

“As a first time visitor i had breakfast, callaloo and saltfish with green bananas n fry dumplings. It WASN'T the absolute best but which restaurant is?
I did enjoy it but way too much oil, obviously they didn't use a spoon that has the strainer in it. Potion could have been a bit more for my $17. But the fry dumplings was tasty. All n all it was a good experience. I would go but but ask for little but more for my money.“

“Today’s my 2nd time eating there. There’s a young lady who get the orders while the other does the cashier thingy. I appreciate the young lady who serves, she’s very pleasant both times I was there. She deserves a tip. I didn’t care for potato salad and cabbage with the added frozen vegetables, I’m so happy not to have that the first time, and I’ll order again if they don’t add that. “I ordered a large oxtail platter with cabbage, yams rice & beans. My yams were very hairy like they were canned yams. I usually order mac & cheese instead. The rest was pretty good it just seems like every visit the oxtail become less & less (stingy).“

“Easily the best oxtails I’ve had & you can’t beat the price point. The food is so delicious time and time again. I consistently order on DoorDash and delivery is always fast. The food is fresh and they’ve never let me down. I want to try other options one day, but the oxtails got me hooked.“

Food was good, ordering area is deceiving, as there is a nice dining room. Will definitely be back once the menu link is working so know what to order. “New to the city from NYC, so we decided to give this establishment a try. Didn't have to high of expectations so not to be easily disappointed. The oxtail platter, the pepper steak platter, and the brown stew chicken platter DID NOT DISAPPOINT! All the meats were deliciously flavorful. The cabbage had just the right amount of crunch. The yams were tender and naturally sweet. The Mac & cheese was seasoned to our liking. The rice & Peas gave me a flashback of my Brooklyn days! WE WILL BE BACK!“

Disappointed I wasn’t able to get the oxtail cheesesteak as they no longer serve but everything superseded expectations! Portions are beyond enough for dinner, lunch and dinner the next day! Waited two hours in traffic to get home to indulge and was still very warm which was amazing! Well worth the 45 minutes to drive and pick up! Will definitely be returning soon! “My favorite Jamaican spot in uptown. Food is always good, staff is super cool and friendly. This is the only Jamaican restaurant I’ve been to in Philly where the baked Mac and cheese is made right and it’s so good. The BBQ Jerk chicken is one of my faves. They give good portions too.“

“I ordered from Ron’s Caribbean Cuisine today on Uber Eats and wasn’t sure what to expect—but man, I was seriously impressed! I got the curry chicken with white rice and cabbage, a curry chicken patty, and a traditional beef patty. Everything was so good.

The curry chicken had so much flavor, and that thick broth? I kept going back for more—couldn’t get enough. And the patties? Super flaky and packed with flavor.

“This was my first time at Ron's. The food was delicious! It was Sunday the 19th of November 2023. There was Gospel playing "Praise the Lord "! Because I was walking in the spirit. Until my server asked how can I help you. I placed one order, she was ready to walk away, I started in the second, then the third, order dessert and this person said "oh my God", as if I was disturbing her. I wanted to add more but instead said...ok forget it because I don't need you calling on the Lord to serve me. I generally leave the counter person a tip, but all I can do is pray for her. She was the oldest lady there...little puff in her hair. If she is in ownership maybe she have "nuff mass", if not...then she cost them money. Either way...Big up Ron, train your servers to get money,“

“If you are looking for great Jamaican cuisine. Here is the spot: right on 5th street a busy location. My favorite can’t go wrong is Oxtail, Pig feet, Fried fish and their Fried Chicken. After a long day at work from the hospital this is my must go spot for great comfort food to smooth my soul. The Oxtail is ultimately my favorite I will drive far just for it. Plus perfect for left overs to bring to work. Adds flavor the next day:)
If you want a quick fix their Jamaican patties are great. Easy to hand on hand while walking and driving.
I saw they have soup specials. What even more cute is the have daily specials. I always try to make it on Thursday for the cow foot.“
