“My wife and I have been going here for 8 years, each time we’ve gone it’s been a wonderful experience. The food is terrific, the menu changes all the time with unique ingredients that makes each visit a new visit a new experience. The staff is wonderful, always going above and beyond to help you understand the menu and feel welcome. “I recently celebrated a milestone birthday with a dinner at Elwood with family and friends. Chef Adam and Jenny were wonderful to work with and the meal was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the venison scrapple amuse bouche. We shared several orders of perogies and cheese platters to kick off the meal, followed by a couple of orders of the tri- tip beef, the sea bass, and the rabbit, which are served family style with a whole host of accompaniments, including exceptional mashed potato that got rave reviews and deserves it's own mention. Several of the diners had never had rabbit, but they all tried it and it was a hit! I already have plans to come with some friends for an afternoon tea, and my husband and I will definitely be back for dinner and/or one of the dining events that Chef Adam hosts. Adam & Jenny, thank you for my birthday dinner one to remember!💖“

There's great variety on the menu for all types of appetites and diners, and they have an impressive robust efficiency in the kitchen that serves up dishes at a great pace and quality. “Yards represents a great story of a local business that does well enough to expand and grow. The location offers a great variety of food as well as the iconic brews they're known for, in an open, though sometimes loud, environment. Parking options aren't great if you're not walking or Ubering, but it's the city so that's to be expected. That said, I was so happy when they took over this former commercial space and transformed it a few years ago and demonstrates how successful their brand has become and not just in the Philadelphia area!“

“Customer service was exceptional. Seating area was a bit small but everyone was so friendly and worked as a team. Honestly the best service I ever had. I went for restaurant week and ordered the shrimp creole. Omg I cleaned my plate and was still salivating over the idea of more when I got home. My partner ordered the crab soup and the salmon. Eyes rolled in the back of his head y’all. Everything was so well and for my first time they left a lasting impression. Would definitely dine here again. I’m just disappointed the shrimp creole isn’t on the regular menu.“

We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.“

“Was there last night for early dinner and stayed to see the Eagles first TD. Food was fresh and extremely tasty. The vibe here is great. The service was excellent. Our server, Max, was very personable and gives very good recommendations. Max is not the only server like this. It seems to be the culture there. They have a lot of loyal customers. When we left the was a couple looking for a place to eat and watch the game. I quickly recommended Glory. If in Old City and near Chestnut and 2nd give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Can’t count how many times we’ve been here but here is my review of Silk City.

The food was excellent. Can’t go wrong in any order. Loved the ambiance. The drinks were good. It’s good to have a reservation as this place gets packed every time, but they could accommodate you to the diner section. Service at the diner section usually takes longer. Lots of parking around the area, but it’s better if you take Lyft or Uber. Staff were amazing and really friendly.

We loved every course we had; a unique caesar salad (with grilled broccolini and fennel!), the "world's best hotdog" (a wagyu hotdog on a delicious buttery roll which truly was the world's best hotdog), truffle gnocchi mac 'n cheese, roasted peach confit duck, and barbecued chili lime pork. The S'mores cookie pie dessert was simply amazing! Service was exceptional (Kyle was the ideal server! polite, friendly, gracious and attentive - thank you so much). The staff is welcoming, the dining room is small and cozy, and everything about this local spot is charming. We will return for sure.“

“I grew up on homemade Middle Eastern food made daily by my parents, so I’m very picky when it comes to authenticity. I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. “DIG is the best!! Great variety of options, delicious sides, simple whole food ingredients, and consistently the freshest takeout food i've ordered.

My team at work has ordered DIG many times for team lunches, and they really are one of the best places for it. We all almost always do the custom bowls, because DIG has so many different protein/veggie/carb options to suit all customers. Each time we've ordered from them, the food is fresh, hot, crispy, well seasoned, and juicy. The portions are excellent, and a la carte additions like extra protein or additional sides aren't too expensive in the case that you're a bit hungrier. Even better so, most of their options aren't super greasy or oily - so its safe to say its one of the healthier options for center city takeout by far.

My go-to order is the custom bowl with charred chicken, sheet roasted carrots, couscous base, and kale cashew salad. Mixed all together with some of their garlic aioli and its a delightfully flavorful and filling combo. Their steak portions DO tend to be a bit smaller, but seeing as though its a decent cut (seems to be flank?) i feel thats to be expected.

We have yet to be disappointed by the various times we've ordered from them, so i strongly recommend giving them a chance next time you're having lunch or dinner cravings. Given how fresh everything tastes after enduring its delivery commute, i can only imagine how much better it tastes should you choose to dine in or pickup!“
