“I absolutely love Taco Heart! Having lived in Austin for many years, I often crave authentic breakfast tacos and jalapeño crema salsa, both of which can be hard to find. Taco Heart is my GoTo spot now that I live in Philadelphia. The food and drinks, the vibe, the music, and the location are all exactly right.

One recent Saturday, Nano even let us stay in the restaurant well past closing time while a strong storm blew through. We got to sit inside, warm and dry, and watch the torrential wind and rain and eat his delicious food. It was amazing.

“Consistently my favourite place to get tacos in the city - honestly much better in almost every way than the more famous and popular place down the street (iykyk) La Prima is a no frills, no nonsense joint but the food is just fantastic. I especially recommend the Lengua (beef tongue). Just two days ago when I went I was treated to the most amazing, romantic Mariachi band outside its steps as well, perfectly complementing the food. I felt like I was transported to Mexico if only for a moment.“

“I had an amazing experience at La Catratchita Taqueria! 🌮🔥 Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The quesabirria with consommé was absolutely delicious—rich, juicy, and packed with authentic taste. The asada nachos were loaded and satisfying, and the buffalo wings were cooked perfectly with great flavor. Even the homemade fruit drinks were refreshing and on point! 🍹 On top of that, the service was friendly and fast, making the whole experience even better. You can tell they take pride in their food and customer experience. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to—and I highly recommend it to anyone craving great Mexican food! 💯“

“No pictures because the food hit the table at home and we immediately forgot all about our phones 😂 On a whim I was craving fish tacos, searched Google, found La Ingrata and headed over. Let me tell you… absolutely worth it. The food was a solid 10/10. The taco pizza was unreal and the fish tacos were honestly to die for. Fresh, flavorful, and one of those meals you keep thinking about after you leave. We ordered takeout, and while we waited for our food, we sat down and ended up chatting with the family. The owners’ 4-year-old daughter came and sat next to us, and if you know me, you know I’m all about the kiddos. Holding her little pile of tip coins and her pack of stickers, we somehow got into conversations about trains, numbers, birthdays… and found out ours are one day apart. Clearly we vibed because Virgos do things like that 😂 The owners came over and talked with us about business, and as food truck owners ourselves, my boyfriend and I instantly connected with them. Beyond the amazing food was just a hardworking family trying to make it, just like the rest of us. Seeing the next generation sitting right there alongside their parents, learning and growing in the middle of it all, was really the icing on the cake for me. Support family businesses. “I stopped into this spot after Joel, the owner, had posted it out on another platform. The street tacos were deliciously messy. There was such a great portion of meat on each taco I was only able to eat 3 of 4. The ability to customize my taco was wonderful! Ask for extra napkins + limes. “Got the poutine fries. They needed cheese on them. They were still good but tht wld have made them better. The menu is limited but it’s a great spot to just stop and grab food when your hungry and want something fast and easy especially if your staying at the hotel like I was. This was my last stop for my first trip to the city so why not tacos something different. The shop is well lit and colorful easy to spot from the road. Service was good the staff were very friendly and filled me in on the menu. All the options looked good so I settled on the tacos and reached out of my comfort zone just a bit. The tacos come with corn tortillas which I never get and the Al pastor( pork with pineapples) and all the toppings they weren’t bad just drier than I expected. I also got the Jamaican drink which I would say is less sweeter than I’m used to it really lets you sit with the natural flavors. The dining area was super clean and spacious I really enjoyed the window high top seating to people watch and take in the views.“

“My family loved the food. We ordered four pupusas with beans and cheese, four more of those with cheese and loroco, guacamole, and maduros. The generous portions made it enough for two adults and two little kids, and we had leftovers too! My only complaint is that they only have their stuffed plantains available in the morning.“

“I had a fantastic time at Barcade, and it was one of the most fun places I visited in Philadelphia. The combination of classic arcade games and a relaxed bar atmosphere made for a great night out. I spent a couple of hours playing vintage games like Pac-Man and pinball while enjoying a burger and fries. The food was surprisingly good, and the arcade games brought back a lot of great memories.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and kept everything running smoothly throughout the evening. The only small downside was that a few of the most popular games were occupied most of the time, so I had to wait a bit for my turn. Luckily, there were plenty of other games to enjoy in the meantime.

My tip for first-time visitors is to bring a few friends and try as many different arcade games as possible. If you want to avoid the biggest crowds, visiting on a weekday or earlier in the evening is a smart choice.

“This Taco Bell is located on Broad and Wycoming. It is opened 24 hours although the lobby is only opened between 10Aam to 6PM.

It has very limited seating with only two tables available for dining in. The service is nice and employees seem focused on their customers.
